Hi experts, with the announcement of After Hours Events returning, I have a question for those who have attended in the past.

For MK on days when After Hours is held at night, are the crowds lower during the day (like how for MK days with MNSSHP or MVMCP tend to be a little less crowded before the parties start) or is it a wash because guests coming just for the After Hours Events can't get in until 7pm.

I am asking because we were planning on going to MK on January 9th but won't do the event (we are rope drop people generally).

Thank you in advance for your insights/experience.

The events never really impacted crowds before because 1) it's such a small number of people and 2) the parks run their full day of entertainment including fireworks.

The party days are so light because of the shorter hours and lack of fireworks. After hours events don't cause either of these, so crowds aren't impacted.

Of course, 2023 could always surprise us...

No they are just as busy during the day/night. When I went in Nov 2019 it was extremely busy that evening before AH started (guests could be in the park until 10 PM).

I was there Sept 10 to 20 of this year. I didn't notice any difference in crowds on After Hours days. It sometimes even seemed to be more crowded. Perhaps because I was expecting lower crowds...

We went mid late summer and attended the parks on the mornings of two early park closures (due to evening events). It wasn't standby walk ons for everything, but given the crowds I have seen and been warned of recently, it was quiet. We had genie + so we had pretty much done everything we wanted in the whole park by the end of the second morning.

Does the park close earlier on the night of those After Hours events (for those not attending the event) like it does on the days MNSSHP is taking place?

No, it’s a full park day including fireworks. The event is truly “after hours”.
