After Easter candy markdowns?

Hi Does anyone know what store might have the best markdowns on Easter candy next week? I need to pick some up for teacher appreciation day at my daughter's school and I wasn't sure who would have the best deals, grocery store, Walmart, Target etc?

Walmart here marks their holiday/seasonal candy down to 50% off the morning after the holiday. So, if I go to Walmart Monday morning after Easter, it's already half-off. I try to get there early because everyone around here knows about the markdowns, and by noon all the good stuff will be gone!

I know around here, Target and Kroger only go 30% off after the holiday on candy. CVS and Walgreens still go 50%, not sure about our Walmarts.

Do you have a small, independent candy shop? Like some place that makes their own chocolate? I find they have the best deals esp if you are looking for something for a gift. They tend to have beautiful spring things but after Easter they drop the price 80% at least. I actually do this every year with my kids. I put in their basket a note that they will get a treat of their choice at Len Libbys (our chocolate store) http://www.lenlibby.com/ Normally their stuff is pricy but it is high quality and if you go after Easter it is really affordable. It is a win win for us. The kids LOVE going and picking out what they really want and I get the cheap price! Good luck, but my vote is look for a small, local store and you might luck out.
