after columbus weekend crowds

Im glad to see the hurricanes have died down thats great news!!!


I know the crowds will be high over the Columbus Day weekend

but I was wondering how are the crowds during the week after?

we arrive oct 12 and our first day in the park will be the 13

I'm wondering the same, too. I'm a little concerned bc someone said they were having no problems gettting PS for next weekend, but I go the 14-17 and everything is full (and has been for about 1.5 months)

Joining in on the wondering thread here.
We'll be there from the 13th to the 16th at the Swan. I had a hard time getting a reservation at this time, too. I've been at the end of October before and crowds were nonexistent. In reading other threads, it seems like it is not at all crowded NOW. Here's hoping for light crowds when we're there.
By the way, where are you guys staying since we'll all be there at the same time?

It will probably be pretty busy. Although Orange County still has school that week, a lot of southern schools will be out for fall break.

We'll be there Oct. 9-16. I didn't realize that was Columbus Day weekend until after I booked it. I'm worried that it may be a little more crowded than usual for that time of year because people may have rescheduled for that time due to hurricanes.

I'll be there with all of you from 14-19. Unfortunately, I'm thinking it will be busier. Originally Fri (Oct 15) MK hours were until 9. Then they bumped to 10. And now they were bumped to 11 (with a second Spectro showing that night). I'm excited that the park is open late and I can catch the second Spectro rather than herding in the only spectro for that night, but it concerns me about the crowds. Also, we had a terrible time of getting a room and also getting DVC space. We'll just have to wait and see. At least we are almost there.......Yippee!!!!!!!

But, we need a little FUN break!! This past weekend was the first weekend in over a month we actually had fun and weren't preparing for or riding out a hurricane!! We need a real vacation now!! I'm getting just too giddy these days

But for the record, schools down here in South FL don't have off on Columbus Day or that week but kids do have off for a teacher planning day the Friday after so you might see a lot of us crazy Broward County residents running around!! LOL!!
