We tend to go to the same restaurants when we go to Disney because we think they are amazing. But we want a change. We are hoping for a "If you like this, try that" kind of thing.

Is anyone out there willing to look at our ADR's and give us alternatives that take into consideration the location of the restaurants we've picked??

I hope so!! Here goes:

Monday
Magic Kingdom
Lunch at Crystal Palace
Nap at CSR
Dinner at Columbia Harbor House
parade and fireworks

Tuesday
Hollywood Studios
Lunch at Starring Rolls
Nap at CSR
Ohana for dinner

Wednesday
Epcot
Lunch at Sunshine Seasons
Nap at CSR
Dinner at Chefs de France

Thursday (2 options that we will decide on once we see how much she likes the character meal)
choice 1
Breakfast at hotel
Magic Kingdom
Lunch at Pecos Bill's
wrap up MK before nap
Dinner at Flying Fish Cafe

choice 2
Breakfast at Crystal Palace
Magic Kingdom
Lunch at Pecos Bill's
Dinner at Ohana's (we just go and wait for a table if we can't get a reservation before hand)

I would drop lunch at Crystal Palace on your first MK day and do lunch at LTT instead. The food is great and the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake is to die for!

Honestly, I wouldn't change 3 of your CS choices. Starring Rolls, CHH and Sunshine Seasons are the best at each of those parks, IMO. Not too crazy about Pecos Bill's, that one I might change for something else. If you end up doing choice 2 on Thursday, maybe just have a Dole Whip or hit Main Street Bakery for 'lunch' lol. When we're on vacation sometimes I'm okay with my kids just having an ice cream for lunch, when it's sandwiched inbetween 2 big meals. Breakfast at CP and dinner at Ohana is a lot of food for one day! ;)

Monday
Magic Kingdom
Lunch at Crystal Palace
Nap at CSR
Dinner at Columbia Harbor House
parade and fireworks

Alternatives: swap lunch & dinner. For lunch go to Contempo Cafe in the CR; for dinner, 1900PF

Tuesday
Hollywood Studios
Lunch at Starring Rolls
Nap at CSR
Ohana for dinner

This is the hardest day to swap out. IMHO the closest alternatives food-wise to Starring Rolls would be France or Norway, over in Epcot; don't know if you would want to leave the park for that long. Epcot is not far but the boat back and forth is slow. For dinner - to keep the location & cuisine similar, try Kona. To substitute the slightly exotic 'flavor' and the all-you-can-eat features, try Boma.

Wednesday
Epcot
Lunch at Sunshine Seasons
Nap at CSR
Dinner at Chefs de France

For lunch, try just about any country in WS; nearly all have interesting CS locations. France and Norway are favorites of mine. For dinner, you could stay Continental with Tutto Italia. If you will be at WDW during their refurb, look at Captain's Grill at BC/YC; that's pretty easy to get to from Epcot.

Thursday (2 options that we will decide on once we see how much she likes the character meal)
choice 1
Breakfast at hotel
Magic Kingdom
Lunch at Pecos Bill's
wrap up MK before nap
Dinner at Flying Fish Cafe

Alternatives for choice 1: lunch at Cosmic Rays; dinner at Artist Point at the WL

choice 2
Breakfast at Crystal Palace
Magic Kingdom
Lunch at Pecos Bill's
Dinner at Ohana's (we just go and wait for a table if we can't get a reservation before hand)

alternatives for choice 2: breakfast at 1900PF (completely different characters than your dinner on day 1), lunch at Cosmic Rays, dinner at Kona or Boma (whichever one you didn't do on day 2)

Except, of course, that this leaves you with no Ohana dinner, and it's on my must-do list.

Oh, and I note you do not have AK on the list for this trip. In the future, though, if you like the food at Ohana, try a meal at Yak & Yeti in the AK. Lunch/dinner is same menu since AK closes so early most nights.

Instead of lunch and Crystal Palace you might like dinner at 1900 Park Fare. It has a similar selection, but better quality. The Plaza Restaurant would be a good choice for a casual lunch. A great counter service is Pepper Market. Le Cellier would be a good alternative for most of your dinners.

I would do firts day , late breakfast at crystal palace as I do not like the lunch there at all , love your supper choice , but how about cosmic ray's for a change or the yummy corn dog nuggets from Casey's

I like your lunch choice at DHS also, but I am looking to dry the dockside dinner for lunch next time , and if you like the spirit of the Ohana Dinner , hy not try WCC , it is a hoot for dinner , a very fun atmoshere and the skillet is pretty good , something for everyone

Epcot day , I am not a fan of Sunshine `seasons, almost anywhere else is more appetizing lol , I love Tangeriene cafe in morroco.
and I am dying to try Via Nappoli in Epcot

I like choice 1 , except I would sub in columbia harbour house

good luck, have a great trip !

This is great! Keep the suggestions coming!

A few things: Ohana is non-negotiable, I should have mentioned that.

Also, Crystal Palace is our one character meal, so we have to stick with that one, or choose another option that is a character meal.

Thanks everyone!!!

I cannot say it enough , but the cape may breakfast w/characters at the beach club is fantastic , miles ahead in service , food and character interaction

If O'Hana is non-negotiable, you should definitely make a reservation there. I hear it is hard to secure a reservation in advanced and I would imagine even harder to get in without a reservation.

1900 Park Fare is a character meal. For breakfast, they have Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, the Mad Hatter and a few others....I think Tigger and Pooh may have been there. For dinner, they have Cincerella, Prince Charming and her stepsisters. I hear they are rather entertaining.

Well, if you don't mind me being your amateur trip planner, here is what I would suggest to switch things up for you, but leaving you with convenient options based on the parks you are visiting that day. I've highlighted my suggestions in red:

Monday
Magic Kingdom
Lunch at Crystal Palace
Nap at CSR
'Ohana for dinner
parade and fireworks

Tuesday
Hollywood Studios
Lunch at Starring Rolls
Nap at CSR
Dinner at Kouzzina

Wednesday
Epcot
Lunch at Sunshine Seasons
Nap at CSR
Dinner at Chefs de France

Thursday
Breakfast at hotel
Magic Kingdom
Lunch at Grand Floridian Cafe
wrap up MK before nap
Dinner at Flying Fish Cafe

My thoughts are in red and just trying to provide alternatives as requested :)

I notice you have 2 meals at CP...one a lunch, one a breakfast. If you drop one you will still have the other and both are character meals.

I love O'hana, one of our favorites, wouldn't do it 2x in one trip though. If you like O'hana you should try Kona Cafe or since you will be at MK Liberty Tree Tavern is good.

Have a wonderful trip!!:)

start adding in dining at the deluxe resorts that are closest to the park you're at. it's easy to get to the resort, say for evening meal, then head back to the park for closing. we love to explore the resort and all it offers. AKL is magnificent and I time BOMA to end when the animals are being fed for the night. Really cool:goodvibes We're going to Wilderness Lodge/Artist Point for the first time this trip and I'm reading up on all there is to see there. DTD is another example: TREx is very awesome and you can scoot over there to shop/eat. If you're looking for EPCOT: try Biergarten and do the princess breakfast in Norway. For those of us lucky enough to go every year, it's a good rule of thumb to add 1-2 new dining options every year. some stay on, some fall off, but I'm glad we tried them :thumbsup2

Lunch at Crystal Palace We like Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch
Nap at CSR
Dinner at Columbia Harbor House Cosmic Ray's or the Golden Outpost near Splash Mtn
parade and fireworks

Tuesday
Hollywood Studios
Lunch at Starring Rolls We usually choose Backlot Express at DHS
Nap at CSR
Ohana for dinner I'd keep this if you have an ADR already and it's a must-do

Wednesday
Epcot
Lunch at Sunshine Seasons This is our favorite CS at Epcot, too.
Nap at CSR
Dinner at Chefs de France We love Tutto Italia and have heard great things about Via Napoli

Thursday (2 options that we will decide on once we see how much she likes the character meal)
choice 1
Breakfast at hotel
Magic Kingdom
Lunch at Pecos Bill's
wrap up MK before nap
Dinner at Flying Fish Cafe

choice 2
Breakfast at Crystal Palace I like this option. We loved this breakfast!
Magic Kingdom
Lunch at Pecos Bill's
Dinner at Ohana's (we just go and wait for a table if we can't get a reservation before hand) We like Whispering Canyon at WL

If you can, get an early ADR for breakfast before MK opens - it's amazing to walk into the park and see the streets empty and see the unobstructed view of the Castle. So worth the early wake-up!

Have fun!
