Anyone stayed at Swan/Dolphin for a conference and purchased the conference rate WDW tickets for "After 2pm" or "After 4pm"? Are they a deal in price? Can you still stay the late extended hours? Going in March.

Thanks!

I can't answer you about the relative value of an after-2 or after-4 Conference Ticket. I would only guess that, if it's less than a single day regular ticket, then it's a value. When I've attended conventions at the Dolphin, it was mid-to-late-afternoon before we were done. It would have felt like a waste to use a full-day ticket for what remained of the day. Sometimes we were going into Epcot just for dinner and Illuminations.

If Epcot or DHS have extra magic hours (EMH) and you want to stroll or boat over there from the Dolphin, your admission to EMH is based on what hotel you are staying at, not your ticket. All Disney Resorts, Swan and Dolphin, and Hilton Lake Buena Vista are entitled to EMH entry. Show your Dolphin room key to get admitted to the parks during EMH, and also at the ride entrances, where they check for resort ID.

Swan and Dolphin room keys do get you access to EMH. It's been several years since I got after 4pm tix while at a conference at the Dolphin, but at the time they were only $15 less than a normal one day ticket. I would guess a bit more off now, but the ticket prices have gone up in the meantime too.
I would guess the discount is still nominal, but it's better than no discount at all.

Since this is a ticket question, I'm going to move it to the Theme Parks board. :)

What you need to do is looking at the pricing chart that is shown from a link on your convention site. Figure out how many days tickets you will need, and decide if you are better off with a multi-day ticket or a few of the convention tickets. Note that the After 2:00 and After 4:00 tickets cannot have days added to them.

I attended a conference at the Comtemporary during consecutive summers several years ago and purchased the discounted tickets for after 4:00 pm entry both summers. In my opinion they were worth the value. I was able to enter the parks later in the afternoon and enjoy the attractions. At that time I was able to purchase multi-day discounted passes for myself for after 4:00 and discounted all day passes for my adult son who was able to go to the parks all day. In my opinion it was definitely a good value, much better than being so close the parks and not going in. Considering the fact that my employer was paying for my flight to Orlando and my room accommodations (as well as the conference) I felt it was a great deal. Of course, I paid out of pocket for my and my son's park passes. Ot was a great experience and the conference was an excellent one.

It depends on your situation.

DH and I are going in February where he will be at a conference most days at the Coronado. The only thing the conference mentioned was the after 4 pm tickets, for $52/ea. This was NOT a good deal to us, as he would have at least 3-4 nights free, as well as whole days on Fri and Sat. It was overall cheaper to buy the special convention multi-day tickets for 5 days than to buy 3-4 "after 4 pm" tickets, and 2 whole day tickets.

FYI: if your convention website doesn't show you the multi-day options for convention goers (like his didn't), you can find them here: http://disneyconventionears.disney.go.com/wdce/index?id=GlobalTicketsPage .

This is also ESPECIALLY good if you are bringing a spouse/children who would need full day tickets, as they are eligible as your guests for the discounted tickets. Not a HUGE savings, but still nice :thumbsup2

Plus the multi-day ticket says it includes: "*BONUS! With the purchase of any 2 Day or higher Meeting/Convention Multi-Day Ticket you will not only save, but you also get one visit to your choice of the following: DisneyQuest® Indoor Interactive Theme Park, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, ESPN Wide World of Sports® Complex, or Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course for one round of golf."

brandv - thanks for the link. :flower3: We did not have that information. The full day tickets even with the taxes will be cheaper than Undercover Tourist.

And thanks to everyone else!! Yes, wanted some full day tickets and two days we would be after 3 going to the parks but wanted the flexibility for the hubby.

Looking forward to a great meeting and a great time having fun with the hubby in our favorite place - missed it since our last visit in Sept 11.
