After 10 years since my first visit WDW here I come!!!

Yup, it has been 10 years *almost to the date* since I first experienced my first batch of Disney magic....but finally I will get to go back and experience it all over again....
Wish me luck, it's my first time as a "tour guide" for the rest of my family who have never been there.

I want to give you a word of caution... i was going to yesterday and then chickened out because it seemed a negative thing to say, but I've just been reading another post... and feel I ought to say it!

I've been to WDW 3 times and my Dh 4 times and we're going back in Jan. We LOVE it, but my last trip was really disappointing. Not because of anything Disney did, but because my inlaws who came with us didn't love it as much as we do. I got really down because they moaned about things (everything from the temperature outside, to the food, to waiting in lines.. it didn't help that my sis -inlaw forgot to take her anti depressants while she was there) and it made me cry.

I'm sure that you will have an wonderful time, there are so many amazing things to see and do... but it is harder when you want everyone you are with to have an amazing and magical time too.

Do remember to have some relaxing time planned into your trip and don't try and do everything!

I hope this hasn't put a dampner on your excitement...

I'm in the same boat as you. Havent been since July '97 and it looks like I'm on my way as of early Sept. '07. It's been way too long. I was only 12 in '97, so I just hope that my expectations are not too high, but with disney I think thats impossible. Cant wait!!!!!!

I am soooo excited for you! I hope you have a wonderful time. Having said that, please keep in mind that it is hard travelling with family. My son and I have always gone with my sister ( we're so much alike there was never a problem) but the last time we went we took my brother-in-law also - big mistake. I didn't know the man needed 10-12 hours sleep a night or he was cranky and they have been married 25 years! This year it's just me and my son going. Just keep in mind that you may all need some down time and not go commando. Have a totally magical time!

Our trip in Sept. 06 was my first time back since 1994 (went with my parents then and this trip was DH and I). I thought I remembered everything......not! It was like experiencing it for the first time all over again. It was so great because it was DH's first trip so if felt like we were discovering everything for the first time together. Now I have to wait 5 years to go back but least it isn't 12 years again
