The modern meds for seasickness are great and better used as a preventative rather than a cure. If the ship was simply teetering like a teeter-totter, mid-ship would receive the least amount of motion. With this in mind, mid-ship, inside room on the lowest deck would be best - but worst view. If you want the view and the veranda, go for it - and take your meds.
My 12 yo was fine. He went to breakfast that day by himself, we couldn't even lift our heads off the pillow. Apparently half the ship was sick but who knows. They gave out free medicine at guest services but told us my youngest couldn't take it. I took it and had no idea how drowsy it would make me. So who knows if it was just too much rocking or we were really prone to seasickness or if it was all due to the room location. But be prepared and take something.
