Anyone else afraid of their vacation being over even before you have gone. I don't leave until sept for my trip yet I am dreading it being over already. :sad1:

I too am going to the world in September. I feel the same way. I am soooooo excited, but I know I will be so sad to leave!!!

We're real crazies, huh?:lmao:

We've been planning our trip for over 2 years now, and this will be the only time we go. While I am COMPLETELY excited, at times I do get depressed thinking of how I'll feel when it's time to leave....

We were there in September 2007 and just had to go again, was there in January of 2008 and sitting here, we're missing it already. January trip was our 40th trip, can't get any better than WDW. We stay an average of 9-12 nights, and thats not enough but after all the trips we now enjoy the resort more and all the surrounding things. What makes it really tough, January trip we left Ohio, snow and cold and arrived in Florida to 80 degree weather. WOW, shorts and flip-flops for 11 days then to come home to this crap, now looking out the window at snow, temp this am was 17 degrees and knowing that people in WDW are in shorts having the time of their lives.

I think the best way to alleviate any depression of that nature is to start planning your next vacation...even have one in mind before you leave, regardless of how long it will be until the vacation hits and regardless of if it will be to Disney.

I have to fight that feeling too! :rolleyes2
Haven't really come up with a good plan ~ maybe I'll try the planning-your-next-vaca idea! :thumbsup2

Yes! When I go I want it to never end!! My family and I always have a great time at WDW! My mom always jokes with us and said to leave her there and she will sleep in the castle! :rotfl2: Sorry mom not going to happen!! :lmao: Love you Stitchfans! (Mom)

Yes! I am planning for our next trip in Dec. 2008. It seems like it's around the corner but we still have to go thru spring, summer, and fall. I am obsessed with wanting it to come. The saddest part of all, :guilty: We just came back from DW 4 weeks ago! I don't even feel like I went. I think I ruined the trip worrying about it ending instead of enjoying it while it happened.

I have issues with that too. I've been thinking all week about how depressed I always am on the way home:sad: , already dreading the return on our 3/14 trip. I've always said it's like a wedding. I think 75% of the fun of a Disney Trip is in the planning and once it's over you're kind of like "what now?" That letdown.....

Im the same way. I dread coming home even before we have left. I am dreading it the whole time we are at WDW too!! My DH says to let it go and enjoy the planning and the vacation. I just cant seem to do it!

We are going in Sept as well...I was just thinking the same thing about how depressed I am going to be when the trip is over...I'm just too negative I guess...this will be our first trip to WDW without kids!!! Now, all of this coming from the person who cries each time she sees wishes, illuminations, and when she is walking out of the gate at MK on our last day...my kids and husband think I am nuts but I just can't help it! I am glad to know I am not the only person out there with the same feelings...welcome to the club!

I try not to think about it until the last day I am there. For some reason time goes by really slowly for me in Disney, which is definitely a blessing. But this is why I am applying to be a cast memeber from May-Jan!! It's like a super long trip and by the end I'll probably actually WANT to go home. :)

I actually woke up the other day tired and groggy, really bummed because I had just returned from WDW, barely remembered the trip (certainly not any magic), not feeling energized or rested or relaxed from getting away to my favorite place...then I realized it was all just a bad dream (literally, I have these "worry" dreams occasionally). What a relief! Trip is a little over 2 weeks away, 3/13!

Hopefully the actual experience will be a little better than my bad dream :)

I have been thinking about my trip being over too and keep contemplating adding more nights. We already added one lol. Trying to decide if we should add more.

Yes. Sadly. We were going to skip going this year but simply couldn't resist.

We do that too. We never end up going for what we originally planned for. We always extend it the max and always go in a day early.:drive:

We have only gone once and let me tell you I did not want to come home...my daughter(10) and I cried literally when we got home that we wanted to go back...my DH is getting sick of me talking WDW all the time...to long until it is time to go back and yet when it gets here it will go so fast...I just want to move there....

Same thing here in Denver! I get very depressed thinking about the warm weather and wearing shorts. I want to be doing that!!!!! We are going back in May for 3 weeks, so I am looking forward to that. But I always have a little bit of a sadness when I am there, just thinking of having to leave paradise. I really cry the day we leave to come back here. :(

Good thing is we have the house for sale and when the market picks up, we will sell it and move to the Magic. :cool1: Then we will never have to come back to snow and cold again.:) We will live in Paradise! YES!!!!! I cannot wait til the market turns better. Could be a while, but just knowing that our plans are set, makes me feel better. And we still will be going a LOT until we can move there for good!:thumbsup2 YAY!!!!!!:goodvibes

i'm really glad i discovered this thread. every morning when i get up and see how many days are left until our trip, i keep thinking 'but then it will be over in six days when we get there!' my mom thinks i'm crazy, but at least now i know i'm not alone.
