Someone mentioned that they sometimes prefer "cheap TS" meals to most QS meals. If that's the case, which are the recommended affordable TS restaurants?

i guess i would need to know what you consider affordable.
most of the table service has entrees well under $20.
in the parks confisco grille, mythos, lombards, finnegans all can be under $20 a plate.

Tchoup Chop has specials in september for the 3 course meals that are very affordable.

if you want table service at the hotels, most of mine at Jakes and Islands at rpr were priced right.
same with the Kitchen at hrh.

you can pull all the menus up and check the prices for the entrees, sides, desserts.

city walk has info at www.citywalk.com
click on orlando and check prices at the restaurants.
not many of them are that high with the exception of bubba gumps.
some of their entrees can add up.

In the parks, I've been to both Finnegans, Mythos and they have several things that are just a couple of dollars more than Counter service. I also though Cowfish at Citywalk was fairly reasonable except for the alcohol. But, the spiked shake was very good.

For example Guinness stew at Finnegans is $11.99, at Leaky Cauldron it's $12.99. Fish and Chips and Finnegans 13.99, Leaky Cauldron $13.99. Krusty Burger $9.99, Cheese Burger at Mythos or Confisco Grill $11.99.

Mythos, ,Lombards ,Finnegans ,Confiscos grille and many of the citywalk venues are all reasonably priced and for us, they came out a few dollar more( not a lot more) then a CS meal for the 3 of us. It depends though on what YOU consider cheap, what you like to eat and order. Obviously these restaurants have variance in pricing depending on the entrees you order, any appetizers , whether you order alcoholic drinks with them , dessert etc.. For us , 90% of the time we just have an entrée and non-alcoholic drink , so yes it can be cheap

The CS places PPs mentioned are only $1-2 more than TS and so much better food quality. The negatives are you will pay a tip and it takes longer. We usually stick with Mythos and Finnegans and make reservations in the morning on busy days.

If I really wanted a burger or other CS type meal then I might pay a few dollars more plus tip to have AC, nice atmosphere, and service. When I looked at menus for TS restaurants, however, my "problem" was that I would be tempted by those items on the menu that are not at all like CS meals in either style or price... :P
