Affordable Myrtle Beach vacation, possible???

I always check tripadvisor before booking anything for the first time.

We like the Beach Cove Resort at Windy Hill Which is North Myrtle Beach. You can get a 1 bedroom unit that includes a pull out couch, an efficient kitchen (has stove and microwave but no oven) for around 200.00 a night during that time period.It is right on the ocean and close to restaurants and entertainment. It is a much better place than being right in the middle of down town Myrtle with kids. We rarely even go into Down Town Myrtle anymore though the huge Sky Wheel is fun once. We are in fact heading down there this weekend but our whole long week-end cost less that your one night will. We are about 4 hours away and love cheap winter get-a ways to the beach!

We have a camper and always stay at Ocean Lakes Campground. They have campers that you can rent and have known several people to do this. Staying in a campground is a VERY wonderful experience. They have everything you need. Laundry, store, food, indoor and outdoor pools.They have activities for young and old. Ocean Lakes is a HUGE campground with many houses for rent if you want a house. They owners rent them out. Just look at their website. The beach is for Ocean Lakes only. There are several campgrounds in Myrtle Beach but this is our favorite.

Ocean lakes has rental homes also. I have two there but I think they are more than you want to pay. I did find this one that is perfect

Ocean lakes has lots of ammenities you don't even have to leave the park. The house rental also has a golf cart!
