Affordable LED Light Bulbs

There was an article in the last week or two stating that Phillips has achieved some breakthrough in LED lights (200 lumens per watt). It said this change would allow them to compete with fluorescents in office places for efficiency. So big changes in LED technology and pricing will continue. The only reasonabably priced (and that is a realtive term!) LED's I saw were under 1000 lumens I think, and were around $10. They were 60 watt bulb replacements.

COSTCO has a high hat replacement integrated LED bulb and trim for around $25. It's 1200 lumen, claims to be equivalent to a 95 watt bulb. Not exactly what you're looking for.

We got ours from Costco I think they were by Lights America. Also check with your power company for rebates for buying Led bulbs.
