Aerosol cans on airplanes

are we not supposed to take these on planes? I just bought some of the new coppertone continuous spray sunscreen and I think it's an aerosol can. Should I get something else for my trip?

Last I heard an amount of product for personal use was fine such as a single can of hairspray. Check TSA.com for the latest though. Seems to change daily.

From the PDF that's on the TSA website, limited quantities are allowed in both your carry-on and your checked baggage.

I've packed cans in both check-in and carry-on and have never had a problem.

Small amounts are fine.
