Aerosmith!!!! --- UPDATED-CANCELED :o(

I just wanted to tell everyone that I am going to see Aerosmith in concert tonight in my town! I am soooo excited. :rockband:

I have to post this on the DisBoards because if it wasn't for Disney I wouldn't have started liking them. I am 23 so I am kind of out of their popular age range, but I went on Rock-n-Rollercoaster in August 2004 for the first time and I fell in LOVE with Aerosmith thanks to that ride! :cloud9:

I just wanted to tell everyone how excited I am!!!

The only other concerts I have been to are:
New Kids on the Block in first grade
Britney Spears in 11th grade and college (I saw her twice!) :lovestruc

K-Ci & JoJo in 9th grade
Kenny Chesney in college
Alan Jackson in college

I have heard that this will be a tad different. I really can't wait!!! :woohoo:

EDIT: We just found out (2 hours before the show) that it was canceled due to illness and they are NOT rescheduling! :guilty:

I AM SO SAD! I hope whoever got sick gets better soon and decides to come back and see us here in Pensacola cuz it was a sellout crowd :thumbsup2

I love that one!!! Has anyone else noticed how it is timed JUST right when they say, "Going DOOOOOWN!" and the rollercoaster does that little dip down?!?!?

They put on an awesome show...I got to touch Steven Tyler :cloud9:

.....I thought I was going to faint from screaming, couldn't hear anything for 3 days after but it was worth it----yup, almost 40 y.o. but still a teenager at heart!

Have a great time! In 2002 I surprised my oldest DD (also a Miranda) with a trip to Minneapolis and to see Aerosmith. She was 17 at the time and a HUGE fan, we saw people of all ages there from 10 to 60's. Her favorite ride is RnR and I think that is only because of Aerosmith!

I agree that Rock N Roller Coaster is what really made me start liking them (even though I'm about double your age :teeth:

). We have several of their CDs and we like to imagine we are on the roller coaster. My favorite song when really on the coaster is Walk This Way since it is what was playing the first time I rode and when it's playing when I'm riding in the first row it's even better.

But my way favorite ride is Tower of Terror!!!

Aww, I'm sorry to hear they had to cancel! I'm in P-cola, and I just found out yesterday that they were scheduled here, when I read the Weekender!

Man, I'd love to see them! I was rockin' to Aerosmith when I was a teenager in the 70's! LMAO, yep, I'm an ol' fart! :cool1:

I'm sorry to hear they had to cancel! Thye put on a great show!! I have also been a fan since I was a teenager in the 70's. You would have been surprised at all the people your age that would be there. We try to see them every couple of years and its a mixed age group show. Lots of teen and lots of middle aged folks too!!! Hope they reschedule.

They've canceled their last 2 shows in B'ham. They must do this often. DD says she won't buy tickets to see them again and I don't blame her.

The first time DH got tickets to see Aerosmith, the concert was in Hershey, PA the first week of January. Well, we had a major ice/snow storm hit on the day of the concert. DH and I listened to the radio all day long to hear if the concert was cancelled. When we hadn't heard anything by 4pm, we decided we weren't going to waste our money and we headed to the show. It probably wasn't the smartest idea. The roads were treacherous and the windshield wipers on DH's truck kept freezing up. It took forever to get to the venue. So, we get in line with a dozen other die hard fans and wait. About 20 minutes before they were scheduled to open the doors, they tell us Aerosmith is snowed in in Boston and that the concert is cancelled. What!!??!! Are you kidding me? We risked life and limb, paid for parking, spent all our money on souvenirs and now no concert. I was very upset. Since we had spent all our money, we couldn't get a hotel room for the night. (We were young and didn't have a credit card.) So, we had to make the long journey home.

Fortunately, they did reschedule the show for later that summer. It was the best concert I have ever been too. We ended up right up against the stage, dead center. My husband caught one of Joey Kramer's drum sticks at the end of the show. Since then, we have seen Aerosmith 6 more times. They put on a fabulous show.

Hopefully they will reschedule the Pensacola show and you will have a Rock N Rollin time. :rockband:
