I've been hearing some positive comments recently regarding Aer Lingus flights and wondered if any of you guys had any personal experiences of using them.

Having done some random price checks using various dates they seem fairly competative but I've been hearing about people picking up brilliant deals especially business class.:thumbsup2

Have flown long haul with them twice now and have booked again for later this year. Weve had no problems and always find them helpful if we have to contact them for anything.

I've been singing their praises on here since we flew with them last year.

Good flights and the times work out well i.e not arriving too late at night and leaving at a good time as well.

They planes we flew on last year were clean and had a great selcetion of movies and tv shows that kept us entertained.

Staff lovely and friendly.

Only problem was they ran out of soft drinks on the way back only option was water or fruit juice, not a major issue though.

They were also one of the cheapest we could find that flew fairly direct from scotland. We did the GLA/DUB/MCO route last year. This year we are doing EDI/DUB/MCO.

Used them for other destinations in the US and always been good.

I can't see these fabbo deals everyone's talking about, and I'd prefer to use them as I live in Cork. It would be nice to pre-clear Immigration too.

Guess I need to start stalking their website.

They were great , esp one way flights were good price.

Can I just say, maybe Im thick but, I panicked for 3 hours in dublin over this.... europe flights have a smaller hand baggage allowance thans trans atlantic, in mco they never checked the size of our luggage, then at dublin I could see ,no way was it going to fit in the cage,, I worried all morning, then we boarded, then when I got home I read the alloances was felt so stupid.

Just incase someone else worries, its all the ryan air flights....making me mental!

I called them when we flew with them last year to check and they confirmed that you get the larger of the allowance so its 10kgs per person for hand luggage. So over all it works out at 33kgs with your hold luggage which is pretty good. And they allow you to take a hand bag or lap top size bag as well. Also love that you can pre book the exit row seats :thumbsup2

It was the actual dimensions that was bigger as well!

Sorry yes that too. One of our bags did not fit into the over head locker on the way from GLA to DUB and they had no problem just took it and put it into a special locker thing in the rear. No one even check the size or weight when we checked in either. Though I would not advise going over in weight or size of the largest allowed just to be on the safe side.
