Aer lingus have cancelled my September flight

It sounds like the whole Virgin issues of 2020 I thought airlines had got better at this!

I think they are (and were) telling porkies about the inundation thing. It's probably just cashflow - they simply haven't got enough to pay all these refunds that quickly.
As other people book and pay for flights in the future that gives them some money to pay refunds from the past.

I’ve just been told my refund I requested on 27th June is expected to be done by November!!! They are inundated and only up to April requests atm

Mine came thru in 48 hours.

So either they have inside info ... or they want people to book in a hurry, without thinking, so they'll get some cash for outstanding refunds.
