I need advise on park hopper tickets or DVC discounted annual passes. We are going in Dec and will be @ WDW from Dec 10-26. I not sure if we'll go to the park every day. It will be Me, husband and 2 kids. My kids will be 8 yrs old and 19 months old at time of travel. Since we have the little one, I am not sure if he can handle that much everyday and I know we will not go to the parks around Christmas for activities at all, if we do it will be only a dinner. I fear the crowds and we want to relax before driving over to Vero Beach on the 26th. I think the hopper tickets are the best option because I am not sure if we will be back within the expiration date of the annual passes. However I have made the mistake of not purchasing annual passes before and then traveling back within the year on last minute trips. On the hopper tickets I am not sure how they expire. Is it 14 day from the 1st day of use? So if I used the Park Hopper tickets starting on the 10th they would expire 23rd or 24th? I am confused because I want to save a little $, but want the most for the $$. Thanks for any advise or ideas.

Are you staying at a WDW resort? That makes it easy to go to the parks for a short time. With an 8 yo you/husband might want to take him by himself one day. So you all might not go every day. I think the break even point for an AP is ten days. We find that with the AP if we only go to a park for dinner we don't feel like we wasted a day on the hopper.
Sorry if I rambled.

Thanks. That is a good point. We will be at WDW resorts on points. We have 2 nights in a studio @ AKV and 14 nights in 1 bedroom @ SSR then over to VB for 4 nights. This is a long trip since we'll be celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. I am sure my 8 yr old will want to go to the park more often. I will also look into annual pass for discounts that may make it an advantage over hopper tickets. I was thinking 10 day hopper tickets. Plus since we are self employed you never know we may go again. In the past we went 2-3 times a year. Since our little one came we have not been since I was 3 months pregnant with him. By the time our Dec trip comes it has been over 2 years since we have been. I am looking forward to this trip.

Enjoy your trip!! It sounds like the A/P might be a good fit for your husband and older child and maybe get a multi day for you.... you can always upgrade to the A/P before you leave if you need to and then you can have your husband get the TIW.
