Advise needed for two parks in one day in August

Hi, we will visit the parks on Aug 10th Sunday. We are first timers. Since we've been to WDW a number of times already, we don't need to play all of the rides and we are not interested in big thriller rides either. We will stay at DLP most of the time.I believe Ratatouille will open by that time, this is a must for us. DLP will open 8-10 for resort guests (we are not resort guests), Studios will open at 10. Should we go to Studios first? Will DLP be too crowded when we go there later? I think we will just ride Ratatouille, take some pictures then go to DLP. please help.
