My best friend Brittney that you all have heard so much about needs help.
She is in trouble. People are calling her very nasty names and she is hurt. She just broke up with her boyfriend. Her boyfriend is now (a day later) going out with a snob at school. He keeps hugging his new girlfriend and front of Brittney and making her upset! She then tells a friend (matthew) that she wanyts to go out with him ONLY TO GET REVENGE ON Josh (her now ex)
People got the wrong impresion and think they are going out. Her friend Shelby is culprit to this....!! Shelby is going around telling everyone that Brittney and Matthew are going out. Mathew really doesnt like Brittney they were just pretending to go out for revenge (as i said) and now we found out that Shelby likes Mathew causing her to get really mad! Now Shelby is saying that matthew dumped her along with Josh and i am confused along with Brittney and HELP PLEASE!!!!!! She really needs advice!!

I agree with Kim. It's just not worth it to go out with some guy just to make your ex jealous. She should find someone who would really think of her as a girlfriend. She'll probably forget all about her ex then 'cause she'll have moved on.

shes only making him jelous cuz she obviously still likes him. I say she should just get over him, you dont need a guy to make you get over someone, you dont need a significant other for anyhting, as long as you are comfortable with your self. SO she should have just ignored it, and made it look like it didnt bother her, otherwise he is going to keep doing it. And now that she has made a bad judgement, she got herself i a worse situation, so shes getting what she deserves. Guys dont like being used, even if he agreed to it.

As a guy i can say there is no reason to "act" like you are going out with somebody to make the other person jealous. personally i would not go "act" like i liked somebody and go out with them to make another girl jealou. girls do this all the time and truly it does not make me jealous when it happens. and trust me i have had grilfriends that go out with me then we break up then they may go out with one of my friends. and it does not effect me and so i would ADVISE her to just let it go, if she is trying to make him jealous or the other girl it will not do anything. so i would just let it go, move on and do not act like you "like" somebody to make others jealous. obvisously they do not like eachother anymore if they broke up in the first place. and that girl that is telling everybody things just let her go as well. she is trying to cause conflicts and to make your friend look bad because she likes this boy that your friend is "acting" like they are going out for fake... so just let it all go adn MOVE ON! lol

lol ktbutterfly! :rotlf: It is confusing! I will clear it up...Brittney (my bff) was dumped by her beloved bf (Josh). Then Josh immediatly went out with this popular snobby girl (Nicole). Brittney was so upset she went to just a friend (Matthew) and they dacided that they were going to "pretend to go out" to get Josh to realize that Brittney could get another guy. (and revenge ) Brittney didnt want it spread arounf about Matthew and her "dating" but the next day a gazillion people came up to her and was like "EWw u like Matthew!" etc. etc... Now she is really upset and her "so called friend" (Shelby) obviously spread it around and denies it! We were the only two who knew besides Brittney and Matthew! (now i get confused!!) UPDATE::: Now Shelby is jealous of how good of friends me and Brittney are and is saying stuff bad about Brittney and telling Brittney that I said that! Brittney IS my best friend and it makes me soo mad (on the verge of crying) that Shalby would do that. Brittney says she believes me, but the sound of her voice, and her not calling me every day (like we always do) is telling me she believes Shelby! Goodness!!!! Somehow I always get dragged into things i have no control over!!! Ahhh!! Help is apprecuated and for those who have helped! Thanks soo much!!

GAH. i hate it when that happens to me. I try to steer clear of the drama till it settles but um yea I would suggest you lock all 3 of yourselves in a closet till you guys make things right with each other. That's prolly the most logical thing to do next to finding someone who has heard the words come out of Shelly's mouth and have them tell your friend Brittany that she's spreading the rumors not you. Well GL.
