I have a room/tix package booked for Dec. I want to add dining, but I was also hoping a code would come out. Should I call and add dining now and hope for a code later, or should I just add the dining if/when the code comes out?

Also, can I apply a code to my existing package or will I have to cancel and rebook?

If there is availability you can just apply the code to your current package, if the code is for a package. Sometimes codes are for room only.

If you are going to do the ddp no matter what, you may as well add it now. Since you already have a package, you can add ddp up until 5 days before arrival so you can just wait and see.

Isn't there a limited number of ddp rooms at each resort? I've seen several posts where people tried to book ddp at X resort, but that resort was sold out of ddp rooms. I would book the ddp now and then change later if necessary.

free ddp is limited. Regular puchased ddp isn't.

What are the odds that free ddp will be offered the second week of Dec?

Anything's possible I guess but free dining has only been offered during august/september 2005-2007. It was not offered at any other time at all since the development of DDP. Therefor I'd say the chances of them offering it at another time would be very very slim.
