I am taking my mom to Disneyland in November. She has not been in 25 years. What is the best dates to go: I would like to see the Christmas Decor. but do not want big crowds. Any words of wisdom?

Holiday Time should be up and running by around Veteran's Day weekend (usually starting the Friday of that weekend, but definitely by the following Monday). How about a midweek trip before Thanksgiving week? (Skip that week -- it can be quite crowded.) If you can fit it in the budget, try the Holiday Tour with your mom. You get the tour, several rides, prime seating (an actual chair!) for the holiday parade, hot chocolate and a gingerbread mickey cookie, and a pin.

It's been years since I've gone in November, but I've found that the full week before Thanksgiving is a fun time to go. Nice weather, not too crowded. I think the last time we went in that week was 2010. L.A. public schools get the entire week leading up to Thanksgiving off, so it can get pretty crowded.
