Hi,
We're taking our December WDW trip with my family and my parents. In total there will be 7 of us: my DH and me, my three kids (2, 5, and 7), and the grandparents (both active and fit 55-60 year olds). We have vacationed all together before, but Disney is a more intense trip, IMO, requiring more planning and causing more stress if not done right. My mom can get VERY bossy and stressed, BUT that's when she's done all the planning, and for this trip, I am the planner (and DH is the financier) so she can't boss much! Any tips from others who have done Disney will all these different ages?
In my planning, I'm making plans based on the kids, with plenty of points where I can recommend other adult activities if anyone wants to deviate. I'll encourage people to split up, but I think the grandparents will want to stay with the kids most of the time (they're just as excited to see the kids' reactions to Disney as we are).
They're both really helpful with the kids and we do enjoy their company. But I don't want everyone to get sick of each other! We are sharing two rooms at POR, an arrangement which has worked well during other vacations. (The kids take turns sleeping in their room, so it's less crowded in ours!)
All our ADRs are together, but people could split up during the day. Any tips?
