DH and I are going to be in WDW in August and we will be dining at Yak and Yeti. I'm curious, can people who have tried any of the below entrees give me their thoughts? For various reasons, including my pickiness, these are the ones I will be choosing from:

Crispy Honey Chicken (is this white/breast meat?)
Stir-Fried Beef and Broccoli
Sweet and Sour Chicken (again, white meat?)
Maple Tamarind Chicken
Shaoxing Steak and Shrimp (only if the steak is delicious and my DH wants the shrimp ;) )

Also, are the wok-fried green beans all I have heard them to be? And typically we share a dessert, but I have heard great things about the Mango Pie and the Pineapple Wontons - worth sharing both?

Thanks in advance!

I can highly recommend both the steak and shrimp and the cream cheese wontons.

DH had the steak and shrimp and it was sooo delish, I wish I ordered it too...that was until I bit into my ribs...omigod they were so tender and full of flavor. We ate every bite.

The lettuce cups were not the greatest, they were sweet and loaded with red pepper and the desserts were icky...the mango pie was way too sweet and the wontons were just blech

I loved the Shoaxing Shrimp and Steak and the fried cream cheese wontons were very good. My boyfriend had the duck and loved it and he also loved the mango pie. I thought it was good but I liked the wontons better.

I didn't have the Honey chicken at the sit down but at the quick service window and I believe it was white meat. We did NOT like the mango pie at the quick service window - it was in a cup and was nothing like what was served inside.

The steak and shrimp was yummy yummy yummy and way too much food. So this time if we go we'll share it. It's a big piece of steak and 3 pieces of shrimp tempura and at least a CUP of rice. -plenty for 2 imho .

When we were there in December, my mom tried the Crispy Honey Chicken, and I had a taste. It was nice and flavorful. If I remember correctly, it was white meat chicken.

You didn't mention these, but I highly recommend the pot stickers! Wish I had some now!

Thank you for all of the advice! I'm picky and not into seafood/duck/ribs etc, but it sounds like any of my selections would be good ones. Thanks also for the heads up on the white meat - a definite must. :) I welcome any more feedback as well - can't wait for our trip. :)

The beans really are super tasty! I agree about the lettuce cups, I would not order them again. They were not bad, but there are better things to order. The potstickers were good too.

To me, 3 pieces of shrimp is just enough to make me hungry & mad because I'm out of shrimp ;)..........in my restaurant we give 10 (21/25 count) shrimp in an order of scampi over linguine and serve it with a Caesar Salad & Rolls.

A steak and 3 shrimp may be enough to fill one person, but plenty for two is stretching it for most people. IMHO.

:thumbsup2

The Shaoxing Steak and Shrimp is delicious! DH and I both got it and loved it! The portions were really big so we didn't have much room for dessert. (Normally I eat a lot of shrimp but the shrimp they gave were so big!!) We were both upset that some fried wontons had to go to waste, they were so good!

I have had the Honey chicken and it was very good. It was white meat chicken in large pieces. I could not finish my meal and I was alone at the time.
