ok I added onto my vacation and added another night at SSR and they were out of studios for the next 2 nights , I did not want to "waste" (lol) points on a 1 br so I booked at pop century. We loved it there. I know alot of you will be appalled at this decision but with a 4 year old it isn't a big deal to us to stay at POP. But my question is should I put myseolf on the wait list for SSR? It is for Thanksgiving EVE and DAY that we wanted to stay till. What is the opinion that or the likelyhood that those 2 nights will open up? Thanks

Put yourself on the wait list. With five months to go, you stand a very good chance of it coming through. Why spend cash if you don't have to?

I agree - waitlist. But make a reservation at Pop as a back up in case it doesn't come through or in case you change your mind about staying at SSR (can't imagine, that, though, LOL).

You can make the "final" decison if/when the waitlist comes through. Unless you ask for automatic confirmation, MS will call you. You can say no at that time for no penalty if you really do want to stay at Pop for the last two nights.

Wait list. I bet somebody will cancel that booked Thanksgiving way out and then won't be able to go.

We're staying at POP for two nights this trip and my girls are more excited about it than BWV. I don't think there is anything wrong with going there.

Yeah I would love the one BR but I also go down so much that we would like to save the points for more trips. When I can convince DH to add on we would still probably use a studio. That way we can have more vacations

Do the waitlist. With the new units opening up periodically, you will probably get it. If not, have a great time at Pop. We just spent 2 nights there last week before checking in to BCV. My girls loved it. They have a good food court, several pools, and at least you'll still be at WDW. How can that be bad!

Yeah we were at pop back in Feb and my son LOVED it! The place is a child's paradise. So I am torn. I want to save points for our next trip but I have a feeling once we go home to SSR we will not want to leave and go to POP. But it is totally like you said it can't be bad either way. I am stressing over nothing LOL.

We often do this. However, we usually begin our trip with a Fri and Sat stay at All-Stars or offsite stay. This has several purposes. If you were unable to make your trip at the last minute, you would be canceling cash nights so there's little chance you would totally lose your points. Also, with little kids, the themeing is what they enjoy. Our kids also really like HIFS. Depending on the time of year, a 1-BR kids suite (with bunkbeds for the kids) start at about $120.00. The pool there is also much more kid friendly than the ones at the Disney Value resorts.
