ADVICE- San Angel Inn- Three Adventrous Eaters - One NOT

Hello- 4 Disney Adults all on Dining Plan. All want to go to San Angel Inn. Anyone have experience ordering and adult portion of a kids meal (cheese quesadilla) here? Do they do that? I have heard this restaurant can be difficult with being creative/substitutions. I have one Disney Adult that is just a plain Jane eater. I don't want to skip it because the other three of us have been and enjoyed it very much. Last time Plain Jane was under 9 so it wasn't an issue. Advice?

I have ordered the chicken quesadillas I asked for just chicken and cheese. My family likes going there 53 more days till we can again, can't wait ! My kids always ask for the steak to be plain too, never had a problem.

They made an adult sized portion of the chicken quesadillas/tacos on the kids menu (unasked I need to add) for my 8 year old (he is really tall for his age and looks older). It was far and away the best meal the three of us ordered. I knew the food would be more authentic Mexican and was keen for that, just didn't enjoy it so much. And it was so dark I had to use the torch in my iPhone to read the menu. These are side issues - they offered us the option of an adult portion, so would be hopeful you'll have no problems!

We were there on July 4th and my 13 year old ordered form the kids menu and my 18 year old ordered the fish of the day dish (red snapper) with everything on the side ... no sauces or veggies for this guy ... and no one batted an eye!
