We just recently decided to go to WDW for 4 nights. We are planning on arriving on either 11/19 or 11/20. I realize with a short time frame at hand, there will be some things that we would not be able to plan/account for. Such is life.

Will be 4 of us. 8 year old, 10 year old, mom, and dad.

Our kids enjoy riding the rollercoasters and exciting rides. We will try and go to all of the parks, but they have said they wanted to do the thrillrides the most. So, I am thinking we will spend more time at Epcot and also gravitate to MGM for RNR and ToT.

Of course, we will spend at least 1/2 day at Animal Kingdom, and some time at the Magic Kingdom. We would like to view Illuminations, Wishes, Spectro, and the water parade, as well.

We are looking at staying at Beach Club, Polynesian, WL, and any other place that may be suggested to us. Ease of transporation is high on our priority. And while the kids are athletic and enjoy going nonstop, the reality of things is they will get tired, so an easy trip back to the hotel for some downtime is to be considered.

I would appreciate feedback on a hotel. Also, any information getting in and out and/or viewing spots for some of the above mentioned night events. IE, can any be viewed from outside the parks.

Thank you, and have an enjoyable day.

I would suggest Beach Club for your family. It is very close to Epcot and Disney Studios (you can walk to both or take a boat). It can also be fun to hang out at the boardwalk at night if you wanted to take a break from the parks.
Have a great trip

Since Epcot and the Disney Studios are at the top of your list I also agree that you will be better off staying at an Epcot resort. You can choose from the Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk, Swan or Dolphin. Go over to allearsnet.com for pictures and desciptions of what the resorts offer. From any of these resorts you can walk to Epcot in 10 minutes or less. You can also walk or boat over to the Disney Studios. The walk is 15-20 minutes and the boat ride about the same.

Welcome to the DIS!

Based on your listed priorities, I agree with the previous two posters, I would choose an Epcot area resort.

Have fun!

I would like to suggest CBR it is a moderate and is very close to MGM & EPCOT and you can see some of the fireworks from EPCOT from the beach area at CBR the Martinque area. Hope you have a great trip no matter where you decide.

Thank you all for the timely information.

One other question I forgot to ask. The option of purchasing no expiration tickets. Do many people do this? With our trip only being 4 nights, we will be using 4-5 days. We will get the park hopper option. We noted that to bump it up to 10 days, and then add the no expiration would be approx. $400 - 450 more for the 4 of us. This would then give us 6 days of no expiration tickets to use in the future. Are those all park hopper days, as well?

I would imagine that if you purchase the park hopper option then they would appy to the non expiration tickets as well.

That is exactly what we did. We are going for a short trip to see our son play in his high school marching band over christmas. We live in Ill. so if we go that far we have to make some sort of vacation out of it and needed 3 day park tickets. We know we will be back to Disney some time in our lives, not to mention our kids will undoubtedly be back, and no expiration date means no expiration date. Anyway, instead of paying over $600 for 3 days of park hoppers, (dh, dw, dd-13) we paid just under $1000 for 10 days tickets with park hopper and no expiration date. Our son gets a 3 day park hopper with his trip fee, so when we return, we will have to get him a ticket and will probably get him the amount of days that will match ours. I think you have to answer the questions, Will we be back? Can our budget take the extra expense? We wish we would have done it this way the first time we went, but didn't know we would go back so many times.
