Hi foodie DISers!

We are returning to WDW after a six-year hiatus and are excited to try new TS options. So they don't have to be very new, just anytime in the last 6 years :tilt:. I think the newest restaurant we've been to was Be Our Guest, shortly after it opened.

The way our schedule works, we're only interested in lunch/brunch options, mostly in the parks but would be interested in a resort restaurant too if you really love it, because we take a midday break after lunch.

We're not on the DDP, and don't really care for character dining. I don't have a certain price point in mind, but do want value- in other words, we'll pay for a nice meal if it's worth it. Thank you so much!

Spice Road Table in Epcot is newer, as if Tiffins in AK (I think). Satuli Canteen (CS) in Pandora is new. Trader Sam’s is newer (Poly). Lots of new restaurants in Disney Springs.

Jungle Skipper Canteen is only a few years old and is at the MK. They have a fairly unique menu with many different options.

As for resorts Sebastian's at CBR is the newest restaurant at a resort. They opened a few weeks ago and have gotten pretty good reviews so far.

Thanks for the ideas! I've never heard of any of these before. Quick additional question- are these Canteens table service? We really are looking for a sit-down meal with a waiter, we tend to linger at lunch- which I do realize is the opposite of what most folks like!

Art Smith homecoming Kitchen. he was Oprah Winfreys chef for awhile, specializes in good southern cooking, complete with moon shine cake!

Skipper Canteen is table service,
jungle cruise themed with hokey jokes etc...
Thank you! That sounds very fun. Except for BOG, I've not really liked the TS options at MK so we are looking forward to trying it.

Great ideas, I researched them all and they look fabulous! Here're my tentative ADR plans for our May trip. I am not 100% sure if we'll be able to do Spice Road AND Homecoming Kitchen, it depends on if we arrive the night before our the morning of our 1st day in the park:

  • Homecoming Kitchen for dinner on our arrival night, we may not be going into a park & may still have a car so that works nicely for that night.
  • Spice Road table in EPCOT
  • Jungle Skipper Canteen for lunch in MK
  • Via Napoli for lunch EPCOT
  • SciFi Diner for lunch in DHS because it's a family tradition- my kids would mutiny if we didn't go pirate:
  • Tiffin for lunch in AK
  • Satuli Canteen in AK on our last day, we leave that afternoon. A CS option works well here since we have planes to catch.

If you had to pick between Spice Road and Via Napoli, which would you choose?

:thanks:

that's a hard choice! The brie appetizer and baklava are great at spice road table . I always get the chicken with olives dish, delicious! But it is a more adventurous place to eat. I also love Via Napoli!
