Advice re: my Sanity Trip

So my friend told me today that she can't go the weekend I made the ressies for. I told her no problem, I would change them to the following weekend. But when I called the ressie line, the recorded statement asks that if you are calling about a trip that is not this weekend, to please call back on Tuesday after the hurricane threat is over as they need all their resources to deal with what's going on.

No problem whatsoever. I hung up. But now, a dilemma. I need to book the plane tickets before the price on them goes up. Do you think I should book them now and hope there are rooms available (in my price range) on Tuesday? Or wait to book the plane tickets and face the potential that they may go up? Because of the price, they are non-refundable.

Thoughts?
