My ds, ddil and dgc will be here in a couple of weeks. Plan to spend Sunday at SeaWorld, Monday and Tuesday at MK. My son is very excited that he got lunch reservations for Cindys on Tuesday. I was thinking of taking them to 1900 Park Faire Monday night so they could stay for Spectromagic and Wishes, but I am thinking that might take some of the fun away from Cindys which he is so proud of. Apparently the kids ages 7 and 6 are very into the characters.

The kids are VERY VERY picky eaters. One of them won't eat meat at all and the other eats very little.

Can you recommend a good place for dinner Monday that has a kids' menu? They have been to Wilderness Lodge. Thank you.

Okay so character dining is out. A few suggestions would be:

1. Stick to a buffet. I found that when my kids were in their picky stage they did very well with the buffets. They had "control" and I guess that helped. They could go up to the buffet and just picked what they wanted. There were so many choices that there was always something to eat. Often times when the kids were picky or tired, we would get into a "struggle" with choosing a menu item. Usually there are only 3 or 4 things on the kids' menus and, when it's not sitting right in front of them, then tend to get "snotty" about it.

2. 'Ohana might be a good choice. It will be fun for the kids but there will be no characters to steal away the thunder of the next day's character meal. The kids can order chicken tenders or something, plus they can pick off of the adult offerings if they get the urge.

OK, you said you want to stay for Spectro and Wishes, right?

I'd go to the Crystal Palace. It is in the Magic Kingdom, close to the castle. It's a lovely place that serves a buffet. The adult food is real good, and the kids' buffet is great for kids.

Plus, Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet are there, too! Still a character meal (and Tigger is a blast!), but won't detract from (or repeat) the Cinderella experience.

The Crystal Palace is prettier, has better food, and much better character interaction than Chef Mickey's. But if you wanna see the Big Cheese himself, you could hop the monorail over to the Contemporary and dine at Chef Mickey's. It is a buffet, too, and has fun foods for kids.

Have fun, whatever you decide!
