We will be in December, the 14th through the 23rd. Since it will be such a long trip this time, do you think we should do a dinner show (Hoop Dee Doo or Luau) or spend an evening in DisneyQuest. I have one afternoon scheduled in downtown disney so far. There are six of us, DH and myself plus ds(14) ds(9) dd(6) and dd(2). DH and I did the Luau many years ago without the kids and enjoyed it, but have never been to Hoop Dee Doo. The two boys love DisneyQuest.
Thanks for any help you can give. I guess I am wondering if the kids would really enjoy the dinner shows.

We've done Hoop Dee Doo when our kids were younger, and they just loved the stage act and the corny humor. The performers often come down amongst the tables and interact with the audience. It's very different from anything else and certainliy something to strongly consider if you've never done it before.

If you are planning on going to the parks every day, you are definately going to want to schedule some other activities in. My husband and I just went for a week to Disney (and Universal - don't tell). After 3 days of hitting it hard, we were beat. I factored in nap times for each afternoon but really didn't think we would use them. I planned on them because everyone on these boards said we'd need them. They were right. My husband and I are in shape, we work out daily, and walking all day and standing in lines didn't sound all that exhausting. Let me tell you, it is. I don't know if its the Florida sun that zaps your energy or if riding thrill ride after thrill ride does something to your body but after 4-5 days at the parks you guys are going to want something else to do.

If it were me going for that long, I'd plan for downtime each afternoon and maybe schedule some days away from the parks altogether. Have fun!

We have definitely planned a lot of downtime, naps every day etc. We are also doing some tours, the Pirate Cruise and the Princess Tea. We will be on-site the entire time since we will not be renting a car, but we won't be spending every moment in the parks.
Thanks!
