love love love POFQ - stayed there for two weeks in 05, three weeks in 07 and now 18 nights in '11

its great to be able to hop on the boat to riverside, or downtown disney :lovestruc

the actual resort is so quiet and peaceful...its great for adults and children alike, especially with the pool

i'd choose POFQ any day :goodvibes

Its something you won't know til you have tried it.
We have stayed at All Stars Movies, Animal Kingdom Lodge and Old Key West.
Although we loved AKL (with savanah veiw) and really like OKW I hope we never stay in a value again, didn't enjoy the small basic room.
On the other hand some people post they have really enjoyed the values but not liked OKW.
For us just now we are enjoying OKW with free DDP and a cheaper rate than Port Orleans resorts. I go for where the best offers are on but if my choice is value or offsite I would opt offsite every time.

I agree with wayne. I have stayed at POP(twice) POR CBR and OKW. My favorite was CBR. POR just didnt have the disney feel for me. BUT I looked around POFQ and much preferred it.A lot smaller and The pool is great for the kids and as it is not as spread out as POR you can easily get to the main area. Saying that I love POP when the xmas decorations are up and for a small family(of 2 adults and 1 or 2 small children) then the rooms are not to bad.Depends how much time you want to spend in the room. If you are not going till next year why dont you see what offers disney brings out.As mentioned OKW and SSR have had upto 42% off and with the free DDP it will save you a bomb(well thats the idea anyway).Personal choice. You do get more square footage with the moderates. If its your parents you are going with it may be worth looking at DVC rental or a one bedroom/two bedroom villa at OKW/SSR if they are on offer. Good luck:thumbsup2

Hi I have been to Disney over 20 times s a child and adult with my own family when I went with my parents we never stayed at a Disney on site hotel :( we always stayed at International drive which I do love any way.
When I took my own family of 3 boys and my mum to Disney for the 1st time we stayed at Pop and hell it was more then i could have ever expected ok so the rooms are not huge ......but who needs a huge room any way all you do is sleep in it the hotel i have to say blew me and my children away
My boys could not believe all the icons that they had and how fab the pop jets and water area for the children are, when we went back for our wedding 2yrs ago with my mum and hubbys parents too plus our boys again ( we got married at the pavillion ) we had the choice to do any hotel we liked but our boys who are twins of 5 and a 7 yrold looked at pics and videos of the hotels and really wanted to do Pop gain so we did Im sure they would have loved any hotel we stayed at but i was happy at their choice. To be honest the fact the pools have no slides at the Value resorts does not bother us you have Disney water parks for that.
well on arrival my in-laws cried they was so happy the lobby was fab all tiled and glittery,It really is a great choice and its soooo colourful as our the all stars resorts that i visited.

This yr we are trying something diffrent and staying 3wks at AKL but this is because you get the free DDP with the table service incuded not just the quick service so we kind of got talked into it and although im sooooo excited and im sure i will Love the hotel as its so diffrent from what we usually have.
I truelly think that the Values are worth their weight in gold mainly PoP!! but that if you can easily afford to stay at a Deluxe then go for it I dont know if i would do a Moderate as i dont see the point for the price.
I hope this helps a little

With four adults and 2 children you would need 2 rooms at POFQ. I don't know if that suits your budget or not. If you can go higher than that you would need to think deluxe / villas which with the right discounts or promotions could be cheaper than 2 rooms at POFQ or any other mod for that matter. Otherwise your only option in the value range is ASMu which has family suites. Again, cheaper than 2 rooms and you automatically end up in a preferred building (closer to the food court and bus stops).
