Advice Please!

Here's my situation....
I was already happy with my vacation plans for next week. Had all ADR's made, park days planned. We are staying at the Poly starting next Sat. 9/27 for 8 nights.
So now I get the Disney Visa Code. I call AAA today to see what we can work out. The code doesn't start until Sunday 9/28. I can change my Poly reservation from 9/28, and pay $3961 -- instead of $4879 coming in Sat.

The problem is I have Chef Mickeys Sat. night, and I really want to keep it. Also that is MK open till midnight. That was going to be a great night.

I could book Wildnerness lodge for 1 night for $292.
Or I could book offsite at the Royal Plaza for $79.
Either way I would then need to buy 1 day tickets for 1 adult & 2 kids.
Plus pay for Chef Mickeys out of pocket.
The savings for WL would be about $411
The savings for Royal Plz would be about $624

If it was just me, I would defin. do it. I'm just not sure about switching hotels. My DH really doesn't like to do things like that. He's out of town & I can't get a hold of him!

That's a lot of money, so I think I should just go ahead. But maybe I'm missing something? Any ideas?

Just from my point of view, I don't think any restaurant is worth not saving money, especially that much! Maybe you can get an ADR later in the week. Also, since you'll be there 8 nights, I'm sure there is another day that the MK will be open late.

I have to agree, plus the one day ticket isn't the best deal.

What I'm really considering is staying at the Royal Plaza just for Sat. night. I found a AAA deal $69 + breakfast for two (kids eat free)! Park tickets will be $215. Chef Mickeys, out of pocket- $100. Parking - $15?
That's still a savings of $518. Worth the extra night of having to pack up again.
I'll call AAA again first thing in the morning, and try to cancel Sat. night ressie at Poly. Hopefully it will all work out! $518 is awesome! That's a weeks worth of spending money!
Again, if anyone knows of any other extras I might be missing, please let me know. I'm trying to work out all the kinks!

Why don't you stay offsite and go to CM but SKIP the parks the first day. Do some shopping at DTD. Go to the movie at FW.

You still get your meal, and you don't pay for two days of first day tickets for your trip.
