Advice Please! Transferring and booking

I need help, my head hurts! We own 160pts AKL, my husbands co-worker owns 210pts BLT.
Another co-worker wants to books a 3BR villa at Kidani in July 2017 total point cost 502.

My husband & co-workers got talking and thought it would be a great idea to pool our points together to sell to the guy wanting to go to kidani. (So my 160pts + 342 co-worker BLT pts)

And of course they think I'll take care of it all, lol!

Is this even feasible? If the BLT girl transfers me 342pts does it matter if the points are banked or borrowed? (I haven't talked to her yet, so I'm not sure what they are) Does it matter what UY she has?

We are a March UY and I would be using my 2016 points to book this.

If she transfers to me, would they all be considered AKL points and therefore 11 mos booking window?
Is there anything else I need to know about if this is even possible??

Transferred points retain their home resort and UY so rules for both sets of points apply differently. Points need to be available in your account at the time of the stay.

The BLT points could not be used for the Kidani reservation until 7 months out, even if transferred. We don't travel during the summer so I'm not completely aware of the GV availability but have a feeling it still could be possible as they are often still available at 7 months so it might not matter that they wouldn't have the home resort priority. Along with points keeping their home resort they also keep their UY.

Only current points can be tansferred. If they weren't current then you could book nights with your points and the other owner the remainder with theirs and the reservations could be linked so that the renter could stay in the same villa.

I think you cannot use your 2016 points for July2017 stay especially yours is a March UY. Unless you are banking them into 2017.

If her UY required borrowing then your transferring points might make sense. Transferred points do not show up online unless they are the same resort and UY so whomever receives the other owners points will need to call in to make the reservation. Also, consider what if Kidani GV isn't available at 7 months? The points can't be transferred back.

That is correct, they would have to be banked. And transferred points can be banked (just not borrowed) so they would need to transfer the 2016 AKV points and then the other owner would bank them once they have them in their account.
