Our first day in Epcot will be Fri 8/14, arriving in the evening and taking advantage of EMH until midnight. We will have used our fastpasses in the morning.

Our next day at Epcot will be Tue 8/17 for EMH at 8:00 - we will be getting there very early and hope to be near the front.

I know, I know, 'not recommended' park for crowds, but we'll be trying to leverage EMH - and we'll be out of Epcot by 1:00.

We're a group of 8, no small children, and we can move fast.

Our plan is to get to to Test Track asap, and get a FP+ for Soarin'.

Is this the best option, or should it be flipped?

Unfortunately, we do not have another open morning to get to Epcot.

I would stick with your plan. Our past two trips we have gotten to the park at rope drop or shortly after, rode Test Track and gotten our FP+ for Soarin' for late morning or late afternoon. So far that has always worked for us!

I would say so, especially since you have no small children, which means you can do the single rider line, which should move faster. (Just remember that single rider means exactly that, and don't expect to ride together.)

We always do TT standby and
FP+ Soarin. You can always use the single riders line at TT too. Stick with what you have already.

Thanks for advice!!

I have to say, I just finally looked back at what attractions are open during EMH - totally underwhelming. We may be tapping our feet, waiting for other attractions to open!!! None of us do Mission Space, and I am getting FP+ for Spaceship Earth for our last ride before we leave the park (and I don't want to backtrack all the way to the entrance to do it for EMH).

So, EMH will just get us on Test Track and Living before everyone else enters the park.

Ditto this and just to add, TT is susceptible to weather closures and is also known to be down a lot. Have fun!

The advice I got was to FP Soarin and ride TT standby. One reason is that the queue for TT is more interesting.

Also, unless things have changed, TT has a single rider line. Our family always does the single rider since it is faster. We don't really care about riding in same car.

TT has SR, no change.

TT has single rider. Back in April, we sent through 5 people single rider when it appear it may be raining during our FP window. It was not too bad and their wait was about 30
Minutes (plus the time of took between first and last person's car to finish.). So that is an option not available on Soarin'.

So I would FP Soarin', Rope drop TT and choose single rider if necessary.

* don't know of Single rider is open at rope drop.

Our goal for an Epcot morning was to do Soarin' and Test Track twice. That meant reserve FP+ for Soarin'. First thing is Soarin' standby at rope drop, then across to ride Test Track single rider. Single rider line not bad at all early in the morning.

I'll be the dissenting voice...TT breaks down a lot...and I think they honour FP later on if the ride is down during your FP window?
