Hi :wave2: ,
I am new to all this but have been reading the forum for a while now and it looks great. :thumbsup2
We are off to Florida jan 2007 :cheer2: , we have been before but it will be our son's 3rd birthday while we are out there, thought about maybe doing a character breakfast on the day, has anyone got any advice or other suggestions and how do i go about booking from the uk, i've read that some of the restaurants need to be booked 180 days before :confused3 ? We aren't staying in disney if that makes a difference. Thank you.

Hello and Welcome to the DIS

You can book 180 days in advance which is recommended for popular restaurants and times :) by calling 001-407-939-3463.

Do you need some recommendations on the Breakfasts? We enjoy Donalds Breakfastaurus and Chef Mickeys. There is a rumour of a Toy Story meal......keep watching the DIS for news :)

Come and join us on the Community Board and you can check out our Holiday thread :) Link in my signature :)

PS Where in Devon are you?

Some recommendations would be good, we did a breakfast last time at O'hana's (think that's right) we booked that when we got there through virgin but would like to have it all done before i go this time. And excuse my ignorance but where abouts is chef mickey's? :confused3
I also live in Plymouth! I'll join you on the community board asap. Thanks

Hi Jules  Its a small world eh??? :)

Chef Mickeys is at the Contemporary Resort. What type of characters does your son like?

We have got into the habit of starting our holiday with b/fast at the Crystal Palace - it really gets us into the swing of things.
Last year with DD we got the first available time 8.05am - the first full day of our holiday - you know the day when you`re wide awake at 5.00am.
This was fabulous as we were in before park opening and got pictures at the Partners statue with no one else around!
Definately reccommend this :sunny:

Another vote here for Crystal Palace - we also got 8.05am, photo's at MK are brilliant - down Main Street it looks as though we were the only ones there. Interaction with characters, Winnie the Pooh and friends, was great and the food wasn't bad either! The only problem is that we are not great breakfast eaters so it was a bit wasted on us :thumbsup2

I'd echo Kaylee, I really liked Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort. We had dinner there for my DS's 7th Birthday last year and he loved it. We saw, Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale and Goofy.

We also enjoyed Crystal Palce where we had lunch one day. There we saw Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet and Pooh at CP.

I'm sure whatever you do your son will have fun! :thumbsup2

Our first ever character breakfast was in Animal Kingdom at Donalds Breakfastsaurus (spell?).

We had a snack breakfast before going to the park, we stay off-site too. Did the main rides early & then went for a late breakfast.

We didn't tell the kids it wa s a surprise!

Also eating late meant on our first day we didn't have to stop for lunch.

Saw mickey, donald, pluto & Goofy I think

Hello Jules from someone else in Devon :wave2:

Welcome to the Dis

For character meals, we love Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace (a must for Pooh Bear fans) in the Magic Kingdom and the Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club in particular :)

I have lots of photos if you would like me to post some :)

Hi,
Thanks everyone for all your ideas, i think i will look into doing a couple, maybe one at the beginning of the holiday and one on the son's birthday which is 10 days into the holiday.
Some photo's would be great if it's not too much trouble, it might help me decide which one's too pick. :confused3
