Advice please - AK Dining Choices for 10/2

Hi, we (DH, DD8 and I) leave this afternoon as soon as I get home from work for our trip to WDW .

Our plans are to tour Animal Kingdom on Saturday. I had been checking online freequently to book Tusker House for breakfast to no avail. Today I check and voila they have an opening at 8:30 on Saturday!

After orinally having no luck with Tusker House I planned for us to eat an 8:30breakfast at Rainforest Cafe (paying out of pocket obviously) and then having lunch at Yak & Yeti at 2:30 using a TS credit.

Would you give up Rainforest breakfast and Yak & Yeti lunch for a Tusker House breakfast and probably Flame Tree BBQ for lunch?

We have never dined at any of the table service restaurants in Animal Kingdom so apart from looking at the menus I have no idea which restaurants are good/worth eating at.

Please share your thoughts, experiences, reviews to help me decide. As a side note I will be 'carb loading' that day as I am running the Wine & Dine half marathon that evening.

Yak & Yeti is my favorite TS in AK. I go there almost every trip! I would do the rainforeest/yak &yeti plan.

Personally, I'd keep both Tusker House and Yak and Yeti as they're two of my favourite restaurants

Plus, Yak and Yeti have plenty of items with rice etc

Tusker at breakfast is a character meal, so it may really depend upon if you want that. It makes the comparison a little different than just restaurants and food. I enjoyed the Safari Breakfast. Is AYCE breakfast buffet good for carb loading? I don't really know, LOL.

If the characters don't figure into this at all, then you might be better off keeping it the way you originally had it. I'm guessing Yak and Yeti at lunch would be a more interesting TS meal than the buffet breakfast. Or do both TS. As character meals go, the Safari Breakfast really isn't that expensive, so if you only want to do one meal as TS credit, use it for Yak and Yeti at lunch and pay OOP for Tusker at bfast.

I would keep Yak & Yeti - the food is very good. We go every time we are there. I can't answer about Tusker but I think its gotten good reviews. I don't care for Rainforest but I've only been to a local one, not the one in Disney, although I can't imagine it is any different since it is a chain, but I haven't been for breakfast.
