Hello All- I am going to be purchasing a new home and would love a nice, large Disney piece of wall art. Not necessarilyy movie related- I would prefer something park related. Are there any good websites I should check out. I'm thinking I might need to go to Disneyland and hit that gallery I hear so much about. Any advice?

Just thought I might suggest the art of Larry Dotson - who paints so many beautiful Disney related pieces of art - if you use his name as your keyword, you will find a site for his artwork. We recently purchased two of his pieces while he had a booth at Epcot for the Food and Wine Festival in Nov. There are so many paintings and lithographs to look at. Hope this suggestion helps. I know there are quite a few others on this board who have some of his art work. Caroline

I noticed that you will be at WDW soon - on his web site it mentions that he will be at the AKLodge on Fridays and Saturdays 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm 1st, 2nd, and 4th weekend of each month. You might be able to view many of his paintings then.

I bet that googling on "Disney art" will snag some good sites, but since you're headed to WDW so soon, I'd wait at least that long before purchasing unless you just fall in love with something. There are some nice stores to check out at WDW,d epending on exactly what you're interested in. I'm the type that needs to see art in person to see which piece sings to me, so I'd at least browse the galleries to get a feel for what really worked for me - even if I wound up buying online. :)

We were down in WDW this past May for my birthday. The Flower and Garden Festival was going on at this time. We purchased a great print of the courtyard in Germany with all the flowers blooming. It states the Flower and Garden Festival with the dates that it was going on. We brought this home and had it framed and it is now hanging in our dining room. The colors match the room perfectly. I always love Germany in Epcot and this picture reminds me of my wonderful birthday trip to the World.

We were at the Bellagio Resort in Las Vegas in December. The Bellagio Gallery of Fine Arts was sponsoring a large exhibit of Disney art for purchase in one of the ballrooms. I would contact the Bellagio Art Gallery and see if they can direct you to the company that put on the exhibit. Many artists and price ranges were represented. www.bellagio.com

Peter Ellenshaw, James Coleman, Tim Rogerson - they all have some truly beautiful Disney fine art. Their art work is not cheap (up to $1200+ for Ellenshaw) but it is very collectible.

Check out the art at Collectors Editions
