Hello All,
I wish to thank those of you that helped my DW and I to take my daughter to WDW for her first time. She has just turned two and I was thinking of waiting till she was older to remember the trip. Thank you all for showing me the folly of my thinking.
Anyhow, my DW and I have stayed at POR and CBR and have really loved both of these resorts. Does anyone have any advice for staying at the WL? How was the transportation? Can you get to DD directly from the WL? How is the food selection compaired to the moderates?
Does Disney still have e-passes to the MK? When we went the last time we did the e-pass and loved it. Will there still be a boat to the WL on e-nights or are my wife and I up for a brisk little swim? ( She is much faster than I am)
Any advice will be deeply appreciated , Thanks. I love these boards and this site. There is a ton of info!!!!!!!! You all are great!
Peace ,love and Disney,
George and Stacey:earsboy: :earsgirl:

Your dd will love WL. She'll love splashing around in the kiddie pool. You can grab a cocktail for yourself & lounge in a chair while she plays! If she doesn't swim, you can borrow a life jacket from the life guards. There is also a lovely playground down on the beach.

We found the transportation wonderful. When you take the large boat to MK, you can just wheel your stroller on. Make a PS for b/fast or dinner at Chef Mickeys over at the CR. Take the small boat over (it goes WL/CR/FW, any order). You can also take the small boat over to FW for a pony ride ($3, closed toe shoe required).

There is a bus to DTD.

I don't know how the food compares to the Moderates, as I've only stayed in the deluxes. We found the food at WL very good. Your dd will enjoy eating at Whispering Caynon's Cafe.

Enjoy your stay!

Because WL is a deluxe, they focus more on sit-down service restaurants (Artist Point is great, btw!), but they do have one counter service. Transportation has never been a problem for us.

A couple of fun things that we enjoy there are renting boats from the marina, and looking for Hidden Mickeys. You can ask guest services for a Hidden Mickey clue list, which is a nice way to do something fun while exploring the resort. The pool there is beautiful too.
