We have plans to attend the Food and wine in september and I am at a loss as to what to do.

I have reservations at Saratoga Springs and Marriott Grande Vista.

We are only going to the Food and Wine and maybe MNSSHP, so emh and fastpasses aren't important. We will be driving no matter where we stay.

The kink in the trip is me, I am now in a wheelchair/ecv full-time after a car accident I had 2 years ago, so where ever we end up needs to be easy for me to get around.

Price is a big factor because I am cheap. The Saratoga Springs is around $100 more a night, but I thought it would be easier to get around and with the Marriott we also get a $30 a night beverage credit not included in the $100.

I have never stayed at either one, so I was wondering if anyone who has stayed at either place could give me the pros and cons. I may do a split stay, but I was hoping just to stay in one place.

Thanks!

Have you tried the swan or dolphin? They are right next to EPCOT and sometimes you can get good deals there.

drinking and driving is not a good combination - so would stay on WDW property and use their buses - from bw and bc not to mention dolphin and swan you can walk to Epcot (or take their boat) -

love the Marriott Grande Vista - the drive to Epcot was not long - but during food/wine there seems to be a lot more police (orange county and orlando - not to mention Kissimmee) - so would reconsider you driving after attending the food/wine. Disney itself invites the police inside its' property to cut down on traffic wrecks.

Hi there! I have stayed @ both SSR & MGV!! I loved them both. SSR was a great deal more expensive than MGV. PROS of SSR: Location to DTD, :boat:boat service & walking paths *Amazing restaurants & shopping in DTD!*balcony [we had a DTD view]*Disney service:mickeyjum * Fun colorful upstate NY theme* Fox & Hound touches in room:tinker:**Beautiful grounds*one of the best swimming pools on Disney property!* On a golf course!* close location to Disney parks *lake views*Magical Express*My Disney Experience access which is fast pass access & ADRs @ 180 days *Free Parking! Cons of SSR: It's expensive.::yes:: Pros of MGV: if you can find a nice rate,it's quite a value!*That $30 food & beverage credit is great, breakfast in the clubhouse is delicious *it's on a golf course!*:fish:they had scuba diving lessons in the main pool*grounds are beautiful*it's a Florida resort, that's the "theme" ;) Palm trees everywhere* The pools are impressive*A/C gets nice & cool + a ceiling fan that works well. Cons of MGV: it's closer to Sea World, one night coming back from MK we got back to our MGV around 1 am,had we been on property, would have been back by 11:00 pm, you can't pick FP+ til you get to the park [not a big deal for us] but of course it's better to have it, no Magical Express:car: [we had to rent a car, but we wanted to anyways.] *Have to pay to park @ WDW All in All, as a usual WDW Resort guest I was simply impressed by MGV, is was similar to a WDW mod & the price of a WDW value. You would not feel like you were being "cheap" staying @ MGV it is a beautiful place & I really enjoyed it. :-) It's not a huge savings over say a Disney Value Resort just b/c of the perks you get from staying @ a WDW Resort. It just depends on what is important to you. I hope that helps.

Thanks happy, that is what I am looking for! We don't drink, so that isn't an issue for us, we are going for the food and demo's!
