We have never flown from Heathrow before, I have no clue about the accommodation options for the night before with parking (we do prefer somewhere where they keep the car on site). Typically when we fly from Gatwick we have stayed in the Horley area in a Guest House and then spent the evening in the local pubs and having a nice bar meal.

Can anyone recommend somewhere nice near to Heathrow??

Thanks in advance x

We are flying from Heathrow again at Easter. Looked at all options and cost was crazy for most places, not sure if it was because we wanted Saturday night.
Cheapest options for us was staying at Premier Inn, Hayes (about 3 miles from Airport) then booking Meet and Greet for 13 nights. Total cost after cashback £75.
I much prefer having car taken from me at the terminal and brought back on return. 1st time we went from Heathrow used Purple parking, not easy to find and they lost our keys so will never use them again. Meet and Greet worked far better last time.

My hotel is a 25 min drive down the M40 to heathrow :thumbsup2 i will do ya a cheap room for £45.00 lol

Must be luxurious, Premier Inn cost me £27.55 or could have stayed at numerous Travelodges around Heathrow for £18.81, £45 I would want full cooked breakfast and a choc on my pillow :rotfl2:

I'm in the same situation... Wayne is there a particular Meet and Greet company you use?

Last time I used these http://www.valueindividualparking.co.uk/ no problems at all, just a bit pricey this Easter. Paid about £20 extra for them to give car a mini valet while we were away.

This time used www.parkandgo.co.uk now give 12% cashback (I only got 8%) http://www.quidco.com/park-and-go?ac the actual Meet & Greet company is Edward Lloyd, cost me about £47 for 13 nights after cashback & Includes Exterior Hand Car Wash. Was about half cost of going direct with Edward Lloyd website.

In August, 2007 we used the consolidators Travellers Toolkit. The cheapest option was to book an unnamed hotel which, in our case turned out to be the 4* Crowne Plaza. It was undergoing renovations, but at a rate of £85 to include two weeks' car parking, it was fine. Parking was right outside in the hotel's own car park.

The only hotels that you can walk to from any Heathrow passenger terminal are the Hilton and the Sofitel (attached to Terminal 4 and Terminal 5 respectively). All other Heathrow hotels require a transfer. The Heathrow Airport Authority has banned free shuttle services, so your options are the Hoppa buses at £4 per person, or a taxi which costs around £9 (fixed fare).

The Travellers Toolkit website has a wealth of information, including a map showing where all the hotels are situated in relation to the terminals and to one another.

Wayne - weekends should be cheaper than midweek. :confused3

Thats what I thought, maybe its because its Easter Saturday, not sure but quotes I got were £100+ for basic hotel & parking, £150+ for better hotels.
I also noticed a big jump in price for some hotels due to child(more adult) in room.
