Advice on what to do first on EE day at MK - Buzz or Dumbo?

As far as DS5 is concerned the only reason we are going to Disney World is to see Hercules and ride "my favorite Buzz ride". We will be going to MK on a EE day but I am not sure if we should head straight to Buzz and then to Fantasyland or do Fantasyland first as we usually do and then wait it out for Buzz. Even though he loves the Buzz ride, I really don't want us to have to endure huge lines on Dumbo and the other favorites in Fantasyland. Any advice?

I think you will be fine if you do one and quickly head to the other. I would probably do Dumbo first this way, since Buzz moves people along fairly quickly. If you have an extra adult, then have someone go to Buzz to get Fast Passes (just to make sure) while the others do Dumbo.

Get Fantasyland over with EE. You can get a fastpass for Buzz and you can't for Dumbo.

We weren't there for EE (were staying off site but it wasn't a MK EE day anyway) but were there for park opening. When we walked into the park, DH took the kids to Fantasy Land and I went to get FP for Buzz. They rode the carousel once before I was able to meet them. We hopped on Dumbo right after that with maybe a 3 minute wait. By the time we did Dumbo (more than once), Pooh, Small World, Peter Pan and Tea Cups (more than once) it was time for our FP w/ Buzz and we were pretty much done with our "must sees" in Fantasy Land.

If it's just you and the kids with no one else to split up with like that, I'd make sure I was there at rope drop and rush to Buzz for FP then rush to Dumbo from there. You may have to wait through a few cycles of Dumbo but it won't be long and will be nothing compared to later on in the day!

Why, of course, "To infinity and beyond" !!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to go with Dumbo. It is a slow moving ride and the line builds quickly. You can always fast pass Buzz later and take a ride on TTA and grab a snack.

Definitely Dumbo first. There is nothing worse than waiting in that line...it moves soooo slow!

Definitely Dumbo. Buzz has a fast-moving line and fast pass.

another vote for -do dumbo first, the line gets horrible fast.
We usually do Dumbo and a few others then head straight for Buzz, get FP but also stand in line and ride then so we can do
Buzz at least twice. It takes me til the 2nd time to get good points; I need a warm up.

Definitely do Dumbo first. The line moves very slowly and has no FP. The line for Buzz moves quickly and has FP in case it gets too long for you. I highly doubt that you will have to wait more than 5 minutes if you get to Buzz anytime duriung the early entry hour. Dumbo, on the other hand, could become a 15-20 minute wait soon after park opening. The bottom line is that Buzz can accomodate far more riders than Dumbo can in the same time period.

Do Dumbo first. Its special to be on the "first flight" of the day.
