Advice on transferring images to t-shirts please.

I got a good Star Wars design, I adjusted the image so that it looked really bright, printed it on to transfer paper for dark shirts (still bright) and ironed it on to a black t-shirt. Result - a very dark and uninspiring t-shirt. I am so disappointed. I do not know what I did wrong.

Does anyone have any tips/advice please. I have several other dark coloured shirts to transfer designs on to and do not want to waste them all in experiments.

Is there a chance you are using 'light' iron on transfers. If so, all white areas are clear and will be the color of your shirt. So on a dark shirt, the design will almost fade into the shirt. If that makes any sense?

Be sure to use a dark iron on transfer and the colors should be more vibrant.

I just noticed you said transfers for dark shirts. So, if you are already using dark transfers, I am not sure why this would be happening.

Anyone else?

Yes, I did use the transfer for dark shirts. Someone on another forum suggested that perhaps the iron was too hot or it was ironed for too long.

There are some in Tebi73's Photobucket. I am unable to remember where I got them all from. I think I Googled "star wars pictures" and got some that way. Hopefully someone will be along to give you an answer in your thread. Good luck.

Do you do iron on designs for others. I'd be interested in some for the disney dream.:cloud9::yay::yay:

I already replied to your pm but thought I would answer here as well so if others have the same question.

I only sell the iron on transfers blank. I do not do any printing.

As far as the designs themselves, there are many designers on the boards who do Disney designs but I regretfully do not do any Disney designs.
