We are coming to Orlando in January 2006 for 2 wks. Trying to decide what tickets to purchase. Have 3 kids and want to keep a gentle pace - not too hectic. Planning to do the Disney parks and SW - not Universal this time.

I was wondering if I should just get one day tickets and hope the 2nd day free offer still applies, or should I get a 2 park SW and BG (which we won't go to) ticket which will give us unlimited visits to SW. Our kids are 8, 6 and 1 and very keen on animals, especially dolphins so I imagine one day would not be enough.

Any advice?

Two days are almost a must. We just came back from SW with a 2 year old and only saw 1/4 of the park. We didn't get the 2nd day free ticket, because we didn't have time. (We were only there for a quick visit, Granny lives in Florida, we in Virginia, so we didn't bother getting the 2nd day free? ) I used Southwest Rapid Rewards card for 20%off. Not sure what Granny used?
Baby was free, as so will the 1 year old.
I'm not sure where you will stay, but I'd suggest somewhere close to SW if possible? That way a nap could be taken half way thru the day, and go back before 7 and visit somemore. If we had a room close, we would have went to the room around lunch and ate, took a nap, and made it back to the park around 4 and stayed until closing.
To me, this would have been a way to see enough of the park and not feel like we missed anything.

One time when we went they had a special ticket that was good for as many visits till the end of the year (not an annual pass). It's called a fun card ($64.95 for an adult I just went to their web site). That way you can go back as many times as you want.
