Advice on sightseeing

Hi everyone,

My family and I will be experiencing Aulani for the first time in October. We have tickets for Pearl Harbor on a Tuesday morning. We would also like to try parasailing and visit Diamond Head. Would you recommend trying to fit all three into one day or how would you split them up? Perhaps Pearl Harbor by itself and then the following day Diamond Head and parasailing? We will have a car for the length of our stay.

These can easily be done in a day. You can see PH in a few hours, schedule your parasailing in Waikiki for late morning, and climb DH after lunch. You'll hit some crowds on DH, but it won't be that bad. If that is discouraging, there are plenty of other hikes farther away from the beaten path that offer great views.

Thank you for the help! I think that sounds like a solid plan. I don't want to have to drive that direction twice.

We did diamond head first thing in the morning and beat the crowds, and the heat. There's very limited parking there too, so first thing, like 6 am might be better. When we left at 7:30ish the parking lot was already full, I don't know if it gets better later. It was nice not having lots of people on the trail with us though, there's not much room for people to pass, so if you want to pass, or people are needing to pass you, earlier would be better for that too.

Diamond Head is in a hot, dry area with little to no shade. I would recommend going first thing in the morning if possible. Otherwise prepare for the heat with hats and water, etc
