Thanks chrissiecutie. I do appreciate the feedback! We went with a travel agent who is a family member on my husband's side and lets say it hasn't gone well for me.Unfortunately, I was going along with her because I don't know the area much but now that I'm learning thanks to everyone on here I'm trying to get it changed but of course I'm having some difficulties with her. Thanks again and hopefully we can get this fixed!
I SO know how that goes! My mother used to be a travel agent and how can you NOT book your travel with your own mother?? However, my mother and I have VERY different ideas when it comes to travel. She even cancelled one of my trips several years ago (when I was early 20's) because she didn't think I could afford it.

My advice...never book your travel though family members. After my mom "lovingly" cancelled my trip so many years ago, I vowed never to book my travel with her again. I do call her and ask for advice occassionally so that makes her feel useful and of help to me. It's a win-win for us both!

Live and learn, right?
