Advice on Radisson and Eurostar needed please

Hiya, New to this forum and its my first post so be nice.

Ive booked a suprise visit to disneyland paris for Saturday 28th to Monday 30th March for my boyfriends birthday. We are going by eurostar so will have 2 and half days there as we arrive 1.30pm on the Saturday and wont leave until 7.30pm on Monday. I paid £260 for the eurostar and hotel...did I get ripped off or is this a fair price?

Just a few questions:

Is it fairly easy to get from the eurostar terminal to the radisson hotel. I know they do a shuttle bus but are you able to use this before you are checked into the hotel, how easy is it to use etc?

Secondly are there any cheap breakfast places to eat in and around disney as we havent got breakfast booked as this would have cost and extre 30 euros a night?

Also we will probably visit disney for the day on sunday and eat somewhere in disney village at night....can anyone recommened a nice sit down meal? And the cheapest place to get dlp tickets from?

And laslty on the monday I was thinking about maybe going to this shopping complex I had heard about? Does anyone know much about this and how your able to get there from the radisson?

Welcome to the forum, there's a great bunch of people on here so im sure you'll get lots of answers to your question quite quickly

It sounds a good price to me, I haven't stayed there myself but i've been told it's nice.

You can use the shuttle bus straight away, i don't know what stop number it is but im sure one of the DISers will be able to tell you. It's right outside the station.

There are only official disney places to have a breakfast at so it will be fairly expensive in IMO, but may be nicer than the rad. Maybe look at the sticky restaurant threads to see some menus there for breakfast. Other than that it may be worth starting a seperate thread of you don't get an answer to this.

The Disney Village has lots of nice places to eat, if you're after character interaction the Cafe Mickey is a must, you will get lots of nice pictures there and the food is good to. Annettes and the Rainforest Cafe always are top of most people's favourite places to eat to in the Village. Both have great theming so it would be personnel choice unles you can do both, the reviews in the sticky threads will help you here with peeps individual reviews of their meals and oftern include pics to!

The cheapest place to get tickets is often Disney themselves, although if you wanted to go again later in the year you could consider getting Annual Passes for slightly more and take advantage of the discounts they offer. This could very well make up the cost difference itself.

Im just a bit worried about staying in rad, because ive not really seen many people review it. It was the cheapest option and well its a radisson so thought it would be nice. Plus I love kids, but I know its not really a kiddies hotel so me and bf should get some relaxing time as well.

Thanks for some restaurant reviews. We went to the rainforst in Down town disney last year and ive been many times before. I assume its very much the same. I have read some reivews in the stickys and have found them very intersting and helpful. We will have chance hopefully to go to 2/3 resturants while we are there.

Its nice to also know the bus stop is right outside the eurostar terminal. I have been before but we didnt stay in a disney hotel and it was many years ago, even before the second park opened.

Thank you for your reply. It seems its fairly easy to get the bus from the eurostar to the hotel then which is good. I didnt fancy driving plus I think it would have cost bit more than the eurostar.

Me and my boyfriend to be honest are not really massive breakfast eaters, especially if we are going to eat lunch as well. Ive heard theres a spa shop or something in the train station so we may just pop in there and get a drink and some fruit or something.

I use ebay a lot but never really thought of getting tickets from there. I will take a look at see what they have to offer. Im a student nurse so dont have much money so need to get things as cheap as possible.

Yes, there's a Relay shop in the train station that sells baguettes etc at a very reasonable price. Alternatively you could grab something for breakfast along Main Street or there is always good old McDonalds in the Village.

I dont think we will bother with breakfast, just have lunch and dinner.

Has anyone ever actually stayed at the radisson? I've heard good reviews on the hotel but not from people really visiting Disney.

Just hope boyfriend will enjoy it. Ive been to dlp and wdw a fair few times, but hes only been to wdw last year for the first time so I'm hoping hes not going to be disapointed.

Is it worth spending a whole day at val d'europe shopping place?

some people have said it's a waste of time when they would rather spend more time in the magic.

Me and my gf had over 3 days when considering our arrival and leaving times and found that this was just enough time to do the main things we wanted to do in the parcs without rushing around.

So it really depends on your plans for the parcs themselves and what you want to do. We still missed a couple of the rides and some shows out because we didn't want to rush around and ruin the break by trying to squeeze everything in.

It would depend on your own plans really whether to stay a whole day at the shops or not, i'd maybe plan to do this towards the end of the break so you can gauge whether you really want to leave the magic for long or not!

Thats roughly around the same amount of time we will have there because of the times our train gets in and leaves. I was thinking about going shopping on the last day there so we dont have to rush the parks the other days and we can have a bit of a lay in, in the morning.

Dont really know if its worth going if the euro doesnt improve though.

Is there many places to eat at the shopping centre or will we have to come back to disney for that?

We went in the summer and I thought things were quite a bit more expensive than I can get them back here, even though they are supposed to be reduced, and that was when the exchange rate was in the 1.20s. I'm glad I've been the once to have a look round but wouldn't bother going again. Paul is a good place to eat there, you can buy a meal at a very reasonable price.
