Advice on POR

I am traveling over Thanksgiving weekend 11/22-11/25 and have reservations at POR for 2 adults 3 kids (5,2 and infant)This is our first time at this resort or actually any moderate and Im wondering for those who have stayed which side would be better to request , mansion or alligator bayou?
We wont absolutely need the trundle bed b/c the baby will be in a crib.
We will be using the stroller around the resort , and ive heard of course to request close to the main bldg.We will be driving our own vehicle to and from the parks, since its already going to be super crowded we dont want to mess with the resort buses. Do all the buildings have parking spaces adjacent?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

The Alligator Bayou side has trundle beds, so your 2 older kiddos can sleep in separate beds, but the main different is the decor. Both sides are real nice but I think the AB section is a little prettier, IMO...

Yes, if you want have a chance to be closer to the main house, AB is where you want to request. The closest bldgs to the parking area are 15,16,17,24,....the bldgs that are in the 30's are kind of a walk away from the main house, #15 being the closest bldg to parking and main. We love AB, hence the sig under my avatar!!

I think it's a personal perference. Depends on what theming appeals to you. Aligator Bayou is more rustic themed - quilts on the beds, looks like tree branches made the headboard, etc. Mansion Bldgs are more fancy looking - but in my opinion looks like a standard hotel room instead - but that's just my opinion.

We stayed in Bldg 38 in Aligator Bayou. We LOVED IT!! At first we thought it was far but it really wasn't. Maybe 3-4 minutes tops.
