We usually get annual passes but for 2014, unless there is a discount it will cost close to $2500 for us. We are a family of five. Three kids, 4, 4 and 9 (10 in April). We spend about teeny five days per year in wdw but don't need to be in the parks each day--perhaps half that time in the parks. Any thoughts on cheaper pass options? Park hopping not essential but preferred. Usually break the twenty five days into two longer trips.

There are member prices for Annual Passes, just no word on a repeat of the deeply reduced price for the Premium Annual Pass.

Tourist pricing for annual passes for your family of 5 would be over $3200, member pricing brings that down to the $2500 range.

For 2 trips with 25 days, an AP is the way to go. A 10 day base ticket (no hopping, exp 14 days after) is $361 for adults, $340 for children. If you bought one of those for each trip, you would be well over the AP cost. A 5 day would be $307/$287, so again you would be over. A 10 day no expiration would be $707/$686, more than an AP. Might be a little less with Undercover Tourist or another ticket agent. Keep in mind an AP has a 10% merchandise discount and some dining discounts.

You're right Bill, but it's getting painful, I guess because the kids are getting older. I'm thinking we may just spend a few days a year in the parks and spend the remaining time enjoying everything else disney world and Florida has to offer.
