We have ressies at Le Cellier at 5 and then ressies to the CP for the 8:15 show the week of Christmas.
I will ahve two smalll children with me. What is the advice out there on what tiem I need to go get in line for CP since we will ahve the package?
The least amount of waiting for the show the better cause of the kids, but i don't wnat to lose our spot since I realize Christmas week will be busy.
How do they work this? Are we guaranteed a seat up until a certain time?

Also, any tips on where we shodul try to go for an IllumiNatiosn viewing spot afterwards? I understand we shoudl probbaly try to get away from the CP area quickly after it lets out.

Thanks!

For Christmas week, I would get in line 30 to 45 minutes ahead. The package line gets long too, if you want a good seat close to the front you have to get there early. If you don't care if you aren't in the front section, then you can get there later. Only the front section is undercover, in case it's raining.

We usually find good last minute Illuminations spots near Japan or Morocco. You could also head over to the Germany/Italy area. We tend to go to Morocco since we are staying at BWV and leave via the International Gateway. The front side near Future World gets crowded early.

Having done a fair number of the CP/dinner packages over the year, I will say, for me, that I actually prefer seats not right up front, real close. It is a wide expanse of stage and more easily taken in if maybe back a half dozen or so rows (JMO) from the front ones. You hear thae same anywhere in the theater area, just visually it seems a bit nicer some distance back. Enjoy, it is nice.

Thansk. Are we guarantted a seat with our packaage then?

Also, what woudl eb the closest abathroom? If I need to leave with one of my littel ones, they would let em back in?

There are restrooms right behind the theatre by the little restaurant there in America. I can't remember what it's called at the moment but there are restrooms to the left of it. :)

With the package, you are guaranteed a seat. The package section is roped off, usually the front half of the theatre. They don't start seating the standbys until about 10 minutes before showtime.

Just be sure you have your CP badges to get back in if you leave for the restroom.

Last year (our first to CP) we got there about 15 minutes before the show and couldn't get seats up front, even though we had the package. Sat at very end of a row close to the back. Very disappointing. This year we will get there 30 minutes early!!!

The last two years, we have gotten in line 45 min- 1 hour before the show and still not gotten very close to the front. You are not guaranteed a reserved section seat if you get there late. I think they started letting in the stand by line maybe 20 minutes before the show. So I would recommend to be in line 45 minutes ahead. You can always have one adult walk the kids around while the other stands in line. The line moves pretty quickly once they let you in.
