Advice on MPLL Strategy for Offsite Stay

Hi all! We’ve been to WDW many times, but just once since the new MPLL came into use. That time we stayed onsite, so booked LLs 7 days out. We’re planning a short trip February 4-8 of next year and staying in an offsite pool home. Since 4 day tickets are good for 7 days, could I start booking LLs earlier if I list my ticket start date as 2/2 vs 2/4? We’re bringing some newbies and hoping to snag some good LLs for them.
