Hi, i hope some of you lovely people can help me. :worship::worship: My husband and I are planning to go to Florida in November and are considering a split stay, spending first week in Port Orleans French Quarter, as it looks lovely. We have stayed in I Drive, All stars and Coronado Springs before and really love being in the thick of Disney. Unfortunately this year the credit crunch has hit us and we cant afford 2 weeks on site :sad2: -( we will have the free dining for 1st week ). I have been doing lots of searching and reading reviews to the extent that I am more confused than when I started :confused3. I like the look of Lake Buena Vista, as there seem to be lots of restaurants to walk to (we dont drive). We also plan to walk the odd time to DTD to access the parks and use the rest of our 14 day tickets. We would really prefer something with a fridge at least and a free beakfast. Oh and somewhere which doesn,t allow dogs - Im allergic!! Can anyone recommend something really reasonably priced which is nice and clean? I did like the look of the Comfort Inn, does anyone know if you can access it via Crossroads car park, or would we have to walk up Palm Parkway?

I've only stayed on site so can't really help much, I know Wayne loves LBV, so when he sees this will be able to help. I have stayed at POFQ & loved it.

POFQ looks like such a nice compact resort and I have walking difficulties, so t should be easier for me than CSR!

The buses from DTD only go to the Disney hotels AFAIK. I think they do not go to the parks others peeps would park their cars there to avoid the parking charges :rolleyes1

LBV is our fave place to stay. Easy to get to everywhere and plenty of places to eat.

1 week
£651 POR/POFQ
£777 OKW/SSR

Tix 14 for prics of 7 £420 (£210pp)

Consider a studio at OKW or SSR £126 more for the week but you get better DDP incl table service, works out at £9 each more per day, worth every penny to me but not to everyone.

Once you have your dates let me know I will have a look what hotels are available, looking a few days ago, Comfort Inn was available for £28/night for Easter, not looked for Nov yet.

I have priced this also - including upgrading to Dining plan, OKW works out about £40 more, which is not much but I thought OKW looks a bit bigger to walk around. What more would I get at OKW for my money. Its a resort that I cant seem to find much info on? We are thinking of going 1st november, so offsite would be 8th - 15th. There are lots of places available but I just don't know which of those are decent :confused3

Hi, i do know people do this but i wont have a car :rotfl2: I plan to get a bus to the nearest resort and hop on their bus to whatever park. It will only be a few occassions, so its not a big deal. We also love DTD for EOS and disney shopping.

Might need to get to US site first if link takes you to UK site.

We considered staying here at Easter http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_...iews-Orlando_Vista_Hotel-Orlando_Florida.html
For your dates Travel Republic have it for £26/night Its the closest hotel out of the gates at LBV, easy walk to Orlando Ale House, Chilis, Olive Graden, Black Angus, McD's and loads more.

hotelconnect.co.uk have Comfort Inn LBV at £28/night, stayed here, we did not have a good room but they have just refurbed.

A little higher up Palm Parkway is Extended Stay Deluxe, another we considered for Easter £32/night with Travel Republic.

Again Travel Republic Country Inn and Suites LBV, stayed here twice, only a small pool but nice breakfast included £34/night

Another a little higher up Palm Parkway Hawthorn Suites LBV Expedia or Hotels.com £38/night but usually codes or cashback knocks at least 10% off these companies.

A few more around £40/night depends how much you want to pay.

Thank you for this - its been a great help. I have read up on OKW and it looks lovely. I have checked the Orlando Vista hotel, I had looked at that but was a bit worried about some of the negative reviews, still even the best hotels get bad reviews. At £185 its a bargain!!
